Paul Dixon

Loved him the first time he played for us but now it's getting to the stage I'm going to end up hating him given the utter shite he's dishing up this season.

In my opinion he needs to be taken out the side and Rankin played in his position.

Re: Paul Dixon

Runs like he has rickets.

28? Plays like he's 48.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the same Paul Dixon back from the one that left. Still, will never hate him. His experience might be vital in the championship.

I'm absolutely gutted the way Dixon is playing I bloody used to love him running up and down the pitch beside the George fox, no confidence in himself what so ever, real shame! ill also add dixon was at his best when he had a winger in front of him and he would be absolutely bombing past conway/gms to get balls in the box

Re: Paul Dixon

First time around he had Conway or maybe Swanson to partner up with.  Looks horribly exposed in this formation and it's really sad to see the form he's displaying when we all know what he was previously capable of producing.

Re: Paul Dixon

Really poor.  I made excuses for him at the end of last season when he was rotten but after a pre season and regular games he's actually been worse this season.

Re: Paul Dixon

Slatefords point is the main issue for Dixon he is in the current formation the only player on the left hand side this completely exposes his lack of technique. As a full back in a 4-4-2 system is where he can be useful.

Re: Paul Dixon

We don't have the centre backs to play 442 though, do we?

Get the feeling mix is left 'p!ssing with  (ock he's got'

Next season, whether up or down, I think we will see a high turnover in players. Jackie signed style over substance. I think mix has tried to go the other way and sign lads with a bit of grot about them.....

Tangy   I think rather than not having the centre halfs for 4-4-2 (Gunning & Morris together would keep us well away from the Bottom) The problem is the 2 wide men in the system Dow, Fraser, Spittal & Erskine all showed Mixu that there not up to the role Thats why he changed to 3 at the back

Re: Paul Dixon

I'd agree with Morris but he's very injury prone.... gunning can immense or abysmal - often in the same game.....

Take your point about the wide players though - difficult times for the club when all other clubs know you are desperate, they can double their asking price...... in the hope you pay it.

Dixon is disappointing though...I know a Huddersfield fan and he said he started really well down there but a mix of injury and the former of others saw him falls out the team. You'd have hoped he'd have sorted himself out by now

Re: Paul Dixon

Gunning was our worst player in the first half and our best player (by a distance) in the second.  God knows how you legislate for that.  I'd deffo go with a back 4 with either Morris or Donaldson both of whom are right footed alongside the left footed Gunning.  Dixon is fucking stinking.  Try him out in a back 4 with Erskine ahead of him and if he's pish again just play Dillon there and Knoyle at right back.

Too much commotion
