Stay, it's helped keep Europe at peace for nearly 60 years. Countries should look to work together not break apart if possible. If we go, you can kiss your rights as a worker goodbye (such as they are).

Too much commotion

Re: EU vote in May - STAY or GO?

If we're gonna be in the uk and effectively run by a right wing party for the foreseeable future then we have to stay in Europe.

You don't see the logic of leaving a centuries old political union and becoming an independent sovereign nation in a modern EU?

You may not think its a good idea but it's perfectly logical and has happened many times since WWII in Europe and the rest of the world.

ETA I'm a stayer.

Stay, for the reasons some have listed regarding the right wing direction of politics in the UK.

Re: EU vote in May - STAY or GO?

I should be saying stay in.

I mean when you see George Galloway and Nigel Farage sharing a platform you know it's a portent for some sort of apocalypse.

Personally, way back in the day, I was an enthusiastic supporter of the EU as a Labour party member before Jaques Delors made them feel all warm and fuzzy about it.

And yet.....

Horrible fuck up after horrible fuck up from the Euro to financial meltdown and Greece through to the refugee crisis.

Growing too fast and failing to create a sustainable architecture for closer links - turning a blind eye to increasingly anti-democratic governments in eastern Europe - the same old joys of unfettered capitalism rhetoric and the TTIP agreement heading our way to fuck up the NHS (and much else besides).

I'll probably hold my nose and vote stay.....probably...
