Are us arabs just waiting on the fun putting the final nail in our coffin on sunday?
No buzz whatsoever about this game on the forums, no defiance or fighting talk which is strange or maybe last Friday has given us the realisation that it's over!!!
A win for us and a Killie defeat gives us hope

Its better this way AP Leave all the hyperbole to the BNBs. The players know the importance of the match, whether they will be good enough to get 3 points, 50/50 for me.

I'm generally pissed off with Scottish football and the folk who run and influence what's happening, but a win on Sunday should help improve that situation.
Not feeling any excitement either.

Probably a strange thing to say, but I'll genuinely be more excited about next season if we're in the championship.I'm not saying I want us to be relegated, just pissed off with the whole set up. Like Pat, I'm getting more disillusioned with Scottish football by the day.
As Arab Plumber has said above the Motherwell result really took the wind from our sails.
We're in a tense enough situation as it is so having to play them not helping either....
Personally feeling a bit pissed off as just out of hospital after a wee op so won't be able to go or even watch in the pub
Just hope the boys can give us something to smile about on Sunday

Same as Silver and Pat, can bearly be fucked with Scottish Football anymore, nothing to do with being shite - as I said on a previous thread the thought of a Championship without Hibs and Sevco and playing at 3pm every Saturday delights me, apart from the financial hit and the minter effect of Dundee being in a higher league than us.
The thought of us with Sevco and Celtic in the Premiership is a total turn off for me.

Think the Motherwell game last Friday night really took the wind out of our sails,as stated above.
The Dundee match is now another one of those games (like the Kilmarnock and Hearts games at home) where we know it's 'win or bust' basically.
Everytime we threaten to put a wee run together out of nowhere we throw in a shambolic performance (or 45 minutes as was the case last Friday).
I for one am kind of numb now towards Utd and our 'survival bid'.If we stay up i will of course be delighted. But there's just been an inevitability about it now for months and it'll almost (almost) be a relief when it's confirmed.I don't know if that makes sense to anyone?Or if anyone feels similiar?
A win on Sunday (and a good win) could and probably would go someway to shaking me out of this apathetic state.

I was deflated after last Friday, but my feelings about Scottish football have been there for a while.
Over the years I've spent thousands supporting a crooked sport. It shows plenty signs of getting worse soon.

I hear ya Pat.
Feel very similiar.

Tek that makes complete sense and I imagine it's pretty much how a lot of us feel.
Utd have, on the park, went from one pathetic performance to another this season, sprinkled with the odd good one.
Off the park it's been pretty much the same, issue after issue, not much good news either.
Also as some of the guys have said, Scottish football in general hasn't got a great feeling around it just now and it's desperately losing its appeal.
Personally, I'm a bit pissed off with football in general, it doesn't feel like a sport anymore, it feels like money has won and that is all that matters. When club owners are blatantly not giving a shit about winning and only worried about clubs (themselves) making money, what is the point?
Seriously considering going back to watching Ammie football, it might be shit but it's about the sport at least.

Dont worry lads the rangers being up next season will rejuvenate scottish futba.
Uniteds inability to beat bottom 6 teams is killing the fans hope.

Calm before the storm. Neither fans are cocky confident or have a clue what's coming on Sunday.
Us loosing at well and them pumped at Ibrokes.
Fans will be up for this by Sunday.
Online!
People saying they want to go down.
People saying they are dreading playing Hibs in the semi.
People saying they'd rather we stayed down because they are scared of the big bad SEVCO bogeyman.
Others saying they are dreading playing Dundee.
Fucking Funster talk. Absolute minter stuff. People need to man the fuck up. We're not some Mickey Mouse outfit, we're Dundee United ffs.

Yep. Shades of it here as well tbh. Don't like defeatism. Think in football and life you should stand up to challenges. Personally I want us to stay up so we can go to Ibrox on day 1 of next season and cuff the horrible bastards.

I don't blame people for feeling dissilussioned with Scottish football.
It'll be 'as you were' from next season.
I haven't read anyone on here saying they want us relegated, are running scared of Sevco or what have you.
There's just a general sense of depression about our club and Scottish football in general.
A good win on Sunday as i said could kick that into touch (albeit temporarily) as there's nowt as fickle as a football fan.

Not the time to bring up being disillusioned with Scottish fitba. That's sevco style.
Understand the lack off pre match hype.
Time to dig yerselves out of the emotion on us and the players and try to elevate the team when it matters.
Atmosphere will take care of its self at the start but we have to be supportive throughout. Dig deep like the players have to. Lead by example and support like a maniac especially if it's no goin oor way.

Agree it's not really on here Tek but the start of the posts hints towards that mate. I hear this type of attitude fae oldco fans but way worse constantly where I live. Let's just rally the fans and team and give the derry bastards a real hard time on Sunday.

well said LAO and phobia time to stop blubbering and come out fighting
Offline
It's no really upto the fans to come out 'fighting' though. The fans have been immense this season in the games i've attended. Not just in voice but with the flags etc etc.
Voicing 'dissilussionment' in general with Scottish football doesn't really equate to throwing in the towel or not backing your club in my book.
Me personally i will always support Utd no matter what (as will all the posters on here, even the severely dissilussioned).

the feeling of deflation and dissolusion is though surely down to the fact that we are having a shocking league campaign. the corruption of the glasgow football association is no worse now than it has been for the last 50 years. by come out fighting im meaning to talk up the club at every opportunity dont let the buggers get you down.

The corruption of the last few years has been far in excess of anything I'm aware of over the last fifty years.
I'm baffled that you should think otherwise.
