Saw on twitter last night that The dundee united development association have, amongst other donations, donated 5 grand to United for All to help them recruit a full time fundraiser.
Now correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought DUDA's role was to raise funds for the United development teams.
Seems odd that they have given that sum so ufa can give someone a job.
Other donations are, 6 grand to arabzone, 2 grand to the women's team and £500 to the youth team to play in a tournament in England.

6 grand to Arabzone? Da fuck?

Shambolic that they advertise they exist to financially support the clubs pro youth set up and then take the money and throw it elsewhere.
If I played their lottery it would be cancelled tonight.
I will never buy another 50/50 ticket tho, purely out of principle.
Our club and associated groups seem to be in self destruct mode at every opportunity at the minute.

I believe the money for Arabzone was to fund videoing of the youth games which could then be used for analysis and player development. I think it is likely that DUDA will have some wider community objectives in their constitution and hence the donations to different parties.
The job that UfA are looking to fill as part of the Community Trust will try to access grant funding which is only available to charities for community related projects around DUFC. I believe the Aberdeen Community Trust have raised several hundred thousand pounds in recent years like this and so would that not be a good thing for UFA to be trying to tap into as well?

No one is saying it's not a good thing. It says on DUDA website that their role is to raise money for the youth teams. That's what people pay their money for. To help that cause. Not to donate money for salary for a charity

This money for video analysing..
We donated them 4 figures from display fundraising for this to the youth set up...At the same time making donations to franks law and also ufa.
And to think some screwball from ufa questioned where our hat money was going.
