good interview on arabzone! He says even if we were sitting 2nd or 3rd would have still joined Patrick! Tbh don't blame him leaving some of the stick he gets from the fans is cringey! I feel it's a jon Daly situation, to why he is leaving!

He came across well and very honest. He will try his best I believe and chose the Partick deal for money and guaranteed 1st team football.
He mentioned the great support on Saturday and confirmed the players loved it and were buzzing after the game.
When he talks about what he does and intends to do its for the lads, fellow players and that's OK. He stops short of saying for Dundee United.
I totally understand from his point if view but crave players that love playing for each other AND the club that we are and the fans.
Fair enough looking after yer career and family but I appreciate players that want to be Dundee United. Don't all have to get a tattoo like wee Erik but you ken what I mean?

I don't have a problem with him joining Partick Thistle.
He stays in East Kilbride and travels back in forth to training each day.He either travels an hour and a half up and back each day or 30 minutes to Maryhill.I can understand him wanting a club closer to home (and one that will definitely be in the Premiership next season).
It was lousy lousy timing the pre-contract getting announced but now Thistle are out of the Scottish Cup and are all but safe from relegation i don't see it as much of an issue him playing for us.He like any player wants to play games (doubt he'd have featured much under Mixu as from next season) and the chance to win a Cup also is something he will not see at Partick i shouldn't think. So he will be as determined as anyone to win us that Cup i'd say. He's not a spring chicken any more and Cup Final's don't come around too often for players of provincial clubs.
I wouldn't play him on 5th April at Firhill though (of course) and he wont feature that day.

Recently both Gunning and Paton have dismissed ST's recent public attack on the team as having anything to do with the 'revival.' In fact they came across as being a bit disrespectful. I suspect that it is the dressing room the boys are playing for, not the club itself. I'm sure that Paton, Gunning and Erskine speak for most of the rest of the team. I think the board have lost the dressing room and that most players will be glad to see the back of Tanny when it comes. McGoo and Spits were offski when they got the chance. Wee Connolly was gutted to be told to leave, but it seems to have been for the best for him. Let's see this season out with a bit of style and look to rebuild. I'm not sure about the Board though?
