Re: Semi-Final Question

The SFA and the media have decided not to bother, and will just award the cup to the winners of Celtic Vs The Rangers

I was in the ticket office yesterday speaking to Fran and she said there's a meeting next week with clubs to sort out dates, times and prices.

I expect our game to be on the Saturday as the polis won't want celtic rangers played at Saturday dinner time.
Don't be surprised if ticket prices are priced up due to celtic /rangers dictating meeting and wanting to maximise income knowing they will sell out hampden for their game. Unfortunately we'll end up paying the same price as them.

Re: Semi-Final Question

Probably the sensible decision is to make our semi final pay at the gate, with prices unrelated to those which the bigots will be prepared to pay for the hatefest.

But as that would be sensible, it won't happen.

Re: Semi-Final Question

Our Semi Final League Cup ticket v Aberdeen was £25 I'm sure.

Be interesting to see how much it increases for the reasons B+T states above.

Anything above £30 is scandalous.

Re: Semi-Final Question

I think be £35. Old firm wont want any concession tickets either so imagine utd and hibs/ict officials will have a fight on there hands to get concession tickets and not jist a piss poor amount.
Fully expect United official to agree to piss poor ticket prices again though.

Re: Semi-Final Question

What would have been sensible is that Hibs and ICT should play their replay at 12 noon at Hampden and at 3 pm we play the winners. Fifty quid for both games, or 30 quid each.

Re: Semi-Final Question

I'm sure revenues for both semi finals are split evenly between all 4 clubs - so a potential pay day the club........

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Yeah they are

This will cause an issue as thetickets for both semis will be the same and celtic rangers willl want the prices high and prob no concessions.. Utd and the other team need to stand there ground on arrangments and not give in to stupid ticket price demands

Re: Semi-Final Question

I doubt they would entertain it but United could subsidise the ticket price.

Say they are £35 each for both games, United will make around £500k from their share of ticket sales.

If they subsidise 10,000 United tickets at £10 each it'll only cost the club £100,000, club makes an un budgeted £400k, United fans pay £25 maximum for tickets.

Re: Semi-Final Question

Theres no danger they will entertain it as you say mate.

Remember utd have sat back and agree to stupid prices previous cup comps and agreed to a handful of concession tickets.

They dont care about us.

Not only fair my good man, but very sensible. It would save Hibs having to travel all the way up to Inverness for their first game and Inverness (Hibs also) have to travel to Glasgow for the semi  anyway. Helps with our carbon footprint on the environment also.

I can see Leedsy2's point though. It wouldn't be fair on United with the winner of the Hibs - ICT game having had match practice earlier in the afternoon and having had the opportunity to try out a few moves etc.Still, worth thinking about!
