Re: Killie away Friday night

Cifci off. He's no happy but tbh, just about everyone of our moves have broken down when the ball has went to him. He's been pish this season for the most part and needs to get his finger out.

Whats worrying about this is once GMS was on, we have very little on the bench. Really just bairns who have either not really showed up well ie Spittal, or are not trusted by the manager ie Smith, Telfer. Considering we have about 25 under 20s as well as our u17s is pretty poor stuff. How many of these laddies are actually going to make it? I'd rather have seen one or two more ready made first teamers as opposed to 10 laddies, one of whom might make it.

Re: Killie away Friday night

History being made here as I'm not one to criticise anything WF but,

1. Never thought I would ever wish my love child to be hooked.
2. Ola for Nads when 2-0 down is the most ridiculous substitution ever.

End of critique and my glass will be half full for the future just shortly.

Re: Killie away Friday night

If ever a team looked like they didna want to be there.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Fucking awful 2nd half.

Team never looked up for it cos it's raining and Killie were running hard.Pathetic stuff really.

GMS and Ciftci looking moody and tbh well below the standards we know they're capable of playing at.Armstrong and Dow were completely anonymous.

I've criticised Jackie all season for his squad building,to the point i am boring myself writing about it.

Tonight those fears came home to roost.Throwing on a kid who hasn't even scored yet for the U'20's whilst we have 2 forwards out on loan scoring for other SPL clubs.Tell me i'm not the only one who see's something wrong there ?

Most dissapointing thing for me tonight is we never looked hungry at all and we were bullied a bit.Was hoping we had sorted that aspect of our game.

A lot to work on next week.

Re: Killie away Friday night

to me the subbie for shifty was more a statement than anything else.. was basically saying to him, 'your no arsed so get to fuck aff and we'll replace you with a kid'

king james would have done that before now.. listen he's our best player but that was a disgrace fae him tonight...mclean would have done that weeks ago cause its no the first time he's been like that

nae cunts bigger than the club, and if he's not doing it on the park then he's better aff it

we also got beat tonight because again he's nae change when his formation isn't working... for me after 5 minutes it looked like it wasn't working

Re: Killie away Friday night

Stobes agree Nadir was pish.looked like he couldnae be arsed and was in one of his moods after 5 minutes.

It's the throwing on a completely untried kid cos we have no other options scenario that is annoying me.

He (Jackie) laughed at Houston on Arabzone the first week he was in the job because of the amount of midfielders on our books and the fact we only had Daly,Russell and Gardyne as forwards at that time.

He's done the same thing, albeit with only 1 decent forward on our books (who looks like he cannae be arsed this season).

I am frustrated at the moment.Particulary when i see teams like St.Johnstone always able to boost their squad when they need to.

There was a chance to do something really special this season i'e' title challenge.

Agreed on Ciftci and Armstrong. Not good enough. Dow can also count himself lucky as well. We are lacking depth because our young laddies are not really showing enough to challenge for the first team at the moment. We'd be as well just having 2 subbies just now because the other 5 are just there to make up the numbers. This puts a lot of onus on the same 12-13 players to play well week in week out, which they won't as shown by tonight. It also creates a lack of competition for places.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Agree the sub was probably an overdue statement because Nads could be playing for Arsenal if his attitude didn't suck.

But 2-0 down away with no realistic alternative may not have been Jackie's opportune moment.

Re: Killie away Friday night

same squad of players had got us top of the league...its the lack of a plan B when up against a team that out 'Dundee utd' us.. push up, close down, don't give us time on the ball

see the statement i made during the week... a 'billy mckinley type'.. was what today was crying out for..somecunt to hold it...make things tick...but when you play without width there's nae out ball...difficult at times

Re: Killie away Friday night

As pish as he was taking off one of our best players to throw on a kid who hasn't even scored for our U20's yet???

I didnae get that.

Why not put Erskine upfront even.??

Odd stuff.

As is GMS hardly starting. He seems affy withdrawn this season.

Re: Killie away Friday night

maybe reasons behind GMS and shifty..one has made noises about leaving.. one looks like he wants to be elsewhere and has done for ages imho

canna pander to those no 100% into it...

anyway...jmac has got one burning issue imo with this 4-2-3-1.. he's obviously not for changing it ..anytime.. so he obviously isn't that arsed with out and out strikers

who's fell out of favour during his reign?

Goodie....Gardyne...Graham..................

Re: Killie away Friday night

I remember being at a Q & A where Jackie said he wanted GMS to be more than just a chalk on the boots left winger. Tonight we were crying out for some sort of width. GMS just looks pissed off with what he is being asked to do these days. Get him back wide left and start giving him the ball.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Am i the only one exasperated at only having 2 forwards btw?

Is ST being grippit or what?

Heard we've spent a lot of money behind the scenes this Summer.

Re: Killie away Friday night

if we play with two centre halfs we usually have 4... we play with one centre forward so i guess he thinks 2 is ok

i think we should have more attacking options.... different options

but he's the manager no me...

03/10/2014 10:51 pm  #40

Re: Killie away Friday night

We defo need a different option upfront i agree.

Bilate looks like a similiar type player to Nadir, albeit no as good.

Re: Killie away Friday night

That was shocking.

We have no plan B, we have nothing up front bar Ciftci or Bilate, one is excellent if he's in the mood, the other will rarely be fit.

Mental to say when we're top of the league but it feels like there's something no right in the club this season, the atmosphere just isn't the same amongst the players, their body language and attitude, in the main, is all wrong.

Only thought Paton was worthy of  7/10 last night.

Re: Killie away Friday night

I think you are being over generous with Paton. I don't mind Paton but in games where he is on the ball a lot he is woefully slow. He isn't helped though when those in front of him are poor

Yeah yeah Industrial Estate

Re: Killie away Friday night

The only time we changed to a plan B this season was in the second game against Motherwell when he brought Billate on to partner Ciftci in a 4-4-2, Mackay-Steven was then pushed out to the left and we created chance after chance (none being taken but still creating) until Billate stuck that one-off shot in the top corner.

Come on Jackie, try playing with proper wingers, you might like it.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Bang on hunted, if those in front of him are over-ran patons horribly exposed...

Agree with Andy too.. Something not right with shifty and GMS body langauge imo... Has been for ages.. Win or lose

Re: Killie away Friday night

There is also a problem with the bench. It's full of bairns.

That's the route we've chosen though. It is what it is. We're not alone in that.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Got remember souttar and Wilson are still to come back which would provide experience we dinna hae

Dinna be surprised if killie are this seasons st johnstone to us

Bottom line is they were better on the night

Re: Killie away Friday night

Yeah they played better. 2 defensive mistakes tae. On another night could have got a nil nil. Whilst its not an excuse either thon pitch is a joke. Futba should be played on grass.

Re: Killie away Friday night

I do like Paton so maybe I was being over generous and I agree with what you're all saying about sometimes being slow.

I always like to end on a positive though

Maybe Ciftci, Stretch and GMS are pissed off that they didn't get a move in the summer, I don't know why but there doesn't seem to be that bounce in their step or the banter that was very evident last season.

It was very evident last season in some games. It was also not evident in a lot of games last season as well. They are up and down players. If they want a move to a bigger club then they have to earn it. They wont unless they get their fingers out. A bottom half Championship side beckons me thinks

Re: Killie away Friday night

agree with the above, pitch was a nightmare, looked like fojut was on ice skates...thought morris coped better with it

the three muskateers need to get their head up pronto...they could get us 2nd....but at the moment it'll be another 4th or 5th if they don't
