Killie away Friday night

Rado

Watson.......Fojut.......Morris.......Dillon

..........rankin...........Paton

Erskine..........Amo..........GMS

..............Nadir...............

1) Szormnick, 2) Butcher, 3) Spittal, 4) Telfer, 5) Bilate, 6) Dow, 7) Smith

Amo and GMS In for Mario and Dow. Good to see Amo, Dow and GMS back to fitness. With everyone hopefully fit our bench looks stronger.

It'll be a tough game so after yesterday's win I'd take a draw but we can win.

Discuss, lads.

*That 11 (same as Rodge's) is imo our strongest XI currently.Only concern would be Watson starting.Neither Houstie or Jackie have played him over the past 3/4 years whenever we've had to play on a synthetic pitch due to his history of knee problems. He's hit good form though. Is it a risk worth taking or play young Spark?*

Killie no longer have Boyd but a bit like us look a tougher nut to crack overall and have tightened up at the back.I would take a draw but think we can knick it if everyone plays well.

We are due a good 90 minute performance, but you could also argue we are due a loss.

Tough yin tae call tbh.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Finally, my first game of the season awaits me. But that also means odds on for a Killie win. Sorry guys.
I certainly hope not, but this type of situation tends to not pan out well for me.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Think the key may lay in keeping Eremenko quiet he can pull the strings and pull the trigger as we saw last season. Keep the ball away from him and we win, don't and we struggle. Prediction I'll take a win any game but think we'll get beat get your money on a draw lol

Re: Killie away Friday night

Plastic pitch - thumbs up for me. Nae bad bounces etc and will suit United playing a passing game. (passing needs to be sharper tho)

Comfortable victory for me.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Bilate OUT tomorrow night.

Need to pray now that Nadir doesn't pick up an injury.

Said it before so without wishing to sound like a broken record i find it shows naivety bordering on idiocy to think we can survive on 2 forwards.

New forward needed ASAP.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Moore's no even getting a start for 20's Stobe.

Connolly looks a player though.Might even see him feature tomorrow at some point now.

Re: Killie away Friday night

agree with you TEK but maybe jmac thinking there's nae point in spunking dough on players with two (he maybe rates very highly) that will hopefully knocking down the first team door soon?

if we were in the shite i'd imagine, as we dinna play with a proper number 9 and or two up top, erskine or GMS could play ahead of the three behind tae

Re: Killie away Friday night

He could/should have used Brian Graham's freed up wage to get someone else in imo.

Moore,Spittal and even ,not really ready yet imo.

Erskine can cover upfront but is more of a winger for me.

Re: Killie away Friday night

maybe tried to get someone but it fell through at the last minute...guess we'll never know.. until jan

Re: Killie away Friday night

Moore still recovering, Connolly is a GMS understudy, not Bilate.

And I'm not convinced all of BG's wages would've been released - he didn't want to fight for a place so he had to go and it's good if the fermers want to make any contribution for an outcast.

Bugs i don't think there is anyway JMac would have let him go there if his wages weren't getting covered.

Re: Killie away Friday night

I heard that Graham is on £800 a week.  Surely Saints are covering at least part of that?  We do need another striker though.  Dowser would surely be the one to fill in there tonight if need be though.  He's more than capable up front in that like Darren Jackson back in the day, he's quick of thought, nippy and a real pest around defenders.  He can also fight his corner, maybe not in the air but you play ball over the top or in the channels and he can battle and get in behind.

Anyway, she's away out tonight so its be bairns away to bed before 8pm and on the drink in front of BT Sport. Braw.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Been a bit of a game of chess.

Neither team have really looked like scoring tbh.

We've been ok at the back.Have showed next to nothing though in an attacking sense.

Erskine has got pass-marks.Armstrong-Dow-Ciftci need tae take a game.

Re: Killie away Friday night

Spot on. Armstrong in particular not really involved yet.

Final pass is just not there.
