Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

MUST win this.

Agree with Bowers we need to go for it,attack is the best form of defence for us and we need wins.Goals get wins.Fitba's a simple game.Motherwell are on their knees at the moment. We need to get at them early doors and attempt to get their heads down and drag them closer to us.

.................Kawashima........
.......Dillon...Gunning..Donaldson
Spittal..Demel..Fraser..Paton..Erskine
..............Murray....McKay......

Subs -

Zwick
Rankin
Dow
Ofere
Anier
Muirhead
Durnan

*I'd sacrifice Rankin for the more attacking Erskine.Even if we only get 60 minutes out of him as long as it's a good hour and he contributes positively in an attacking sense it's a gamble worth taking.McKay's last chance for me and if it's not happening i want early changes with Ofere,Dow,Muirhead or even Anier given a good half hour to win us it.Mon Utd*

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

Erskine wont pull a Utd top on again.
TBH, I dont want him to either. Cant dress it up any other way but signing a pre-contract with a side that we're potentially involved in a relegation battle with is, from a football point of view, fucking shocking.

Can understand he wants his future sorted. Has to live with the consequences of that.

Just had a look at the suspensions - Pearson banned for them tomorrow.

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

Would be tempted to make a few changes, also feel 1/2 needed dropped! My team would be:

Kawashima
Donaldson gunning Dillon
Spittal demel Paton Dixon
Fsp
Dow Murray

We need pace up to, for me mckays performances lately haven't been anywhere near acceptable for a player of his quality plus I feel McManus would struggle with Murray and dows pace!

Any display squad efforts planned for the match?

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

If it was up to me, I'd play
.                     Kawashima
Knoyle.     Dillon.       Gunning.      Dixon
         Spittal.       Paton          Fraser.
      Murray.         Ofere.          Muirhead

McKay
Anier
FSP
Donaldson
Demel
Rankin
Zwick

If there's is a chance of staying up left, then this game is it, 2 fullbacks told to push on, 5 attack minded players ahead of them prepared to fill the box and get on to crosses.  There has to be gambles taken tonight.

None of the above will happen tho, we'll start same formation with limited attacking threat, maybe scrape a win right enough. Let's hope the players and manager realise it's a must win as they clearly haven't up till now.

Mixu appears unlikely to alter his starting eleven too much.

We have to be more attack minded tonight, draws are not good enough Mixu!!!!!

Yep we have to go for it.  I wan't another Killie performance - I don't mean I expect us to score five, but I want to see the players fighting for every ball, chasing everything down and generally trying like fuck.

Coll Donaldson was supposedly on the bench for the Developement team this afternoon.WTF is that all about?

Would be grossly unfair if he's been dropped tonight imo.

Sack that.Apparently it's some young Goalie called Josh Donaldson.New name on me.

I reckon Dixon will play wing back and it'll still be 3 at centre half.

Deserve everything we get, absolute fucking shambles of a club from top to bottom right now.

Only a clear out from top to bottom will solve this.

Hugely disappointing - really fucked off - Motherwell were flatlining before this.

We're down now - no doubt, no question.

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

There's no enough time in left in the day to say everything I want to say.

You can all laugh at me and call me all the daft chunts you want.

Where the phuck was Dow and Muirhead?

Thought the 1st half was a phuckin awful if I'm honest.

Miss by Ranks in the 1st 3 minutes, when Murray and McKay are in the box, and he shoulda put it in. McKay going mental at Ranks for no passin it in, then no long after he does EXACTLY the same.

Musta been the cleanest ba in European futba the night for aboot 10 minutes in the 1st half, coz it never touched the grass.

Many occasions in the 1st half where Spittal is on his own on the right wing, at the half-way line, nae chunt near him, yet the goalie kicks the ba oot into the mix on the left, and twa or 3 times it goes oot for a throw-in to Motherwell. Noticed  the Motherwell keeper getting the ba oot to their boyo when he was on his own, and he managed to run 60/70 yards doon the wing makin crosses into oor box.

1st goal was due to Dillon and Dixon? no managing to get the ba aff the Motherwell player withoot fouling him. Think this was due to a sh1tty header by Gunman. 3 of our boys couldna get the ba from the the free-kick, and McManus puts it in. Demel's the biggest chunt in the squad. Where the phuck was he?

At the half time, still thought we would pull it back, but TBH thought it might end up being a drah.

2nd goal. Ball bounces at thd back post. Keeper stands like hang-the-man, and Ronald McDonald puts it in. Eje shoulda went doon on the ba and stopped him from getting a a good touch on the ba, and mibbbe smothered it.

3rd goal. Credit where it's due. Great strike by McMuffin, but why was there no chunt challening him?

Ref was a perfect example of an SFA official.

The loss is a phuckin disaster. But what I canna understand, is why the phuck we never managed to even score 1 phuckin goal.

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

That was a complete nightmare, embarrassment from start to finish, gutless.  Only Donaldson and Murray even anywhere near pass marks for at least trying.  We need a completely fresh start from top to bottom at the club.

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

What can be said?

I'm generally positive, but there's not really a thing can be said in our favour tonight that wouldn't be clutching at straws and blaming the referee.

Mixu's signings have been a disaster generally, his best is the keeper, yet only because our other goalies are inexperienced or poor. Tactics too have been inexplicable. He's been bad for the club.

Clearly, the owner of the club is out of his depth too. I don't know how to fix this, as telling him to 'fuck off' will have no effect in terms of our situation. And the employment of David Southern has been a poor idea: hated at Hearts, why would he do a good job at Tannadice?

The club doesn't respond to emails. What can we do?

I'm getting a season ticket if we go down, won't be doing so IF (and believe it or not, I still think there is a chance, in a 'Dumb and Dumber' sense) we stay up. But that's for another post.

Could we email/write to the club asking them not to send out any further emails/postal communications, such as season ticket renewal documentation? Perhaps in a structured/regimented manner.Just an idea for now.

Mind, I still think we could escape this situation......

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

I'm at a complete and utter loss how, in a must win game at home, we play 3 holding mids which means our 2 forwards only have 2 wing backs to support them???!!!  Can someone please explain, what were we trying to do?  Hold them for an hour and sneak it in the last half hour?

No one can explain it, there's is no,logical explanation, that formation tonight alone should get Mixu sacked, absolutely unbelievable.

There's no excuse for a lack of effort from any player, but some of them must be thinking what's the point, this boys clueless.

Re: Utd v Motherwell - Tuesday 16th Feb (7.45pm)

I feel weird.  I'm not feeling angry.  Though I should be.  I'm not feeling disappointed.  Though I should be.  I just feel brow beaten and resigned to a slow lingering death after 12 months of absolute dross.  Time for bed!  Goodnight!!!
