Not a huge fan of U2 (understatement) but have always liked this, cracking track.Would like to hear it covered by someone else (stripped back and ever so slightly slower). As much as Bono's a pretentious wank his vocals good here too imo.

Not a band, but a person.
Kanye West.
Cant stand the guy. Either he is the worlds best Troll, or that he actually believes his own hype.
However, I think this song is amazing.
(The game that the song was in is great as well!)

Don't like U2 (mostly Bonor) either but for seem reason I have a soft spot for their song Discotheque. Probably put that down as a guilty pleasure.

I used to hate The Who, as they were viewed to be rivals to The Kinks. But love their stuff now.
Never a fan of The Beatles (sorry, as I know a lot of folk here are), but like a lot of the Lennon penned songs.
Hated disco stuff in the seventies, but enjoy the classic songs now. Then Dire Straits, despised them, but appreciate the work as I've got older. U2, yet admire The Edge. Then Oasis, still think they're cunts, but they wrote a few songs that are appreciated now.
Maybe in time I'll like everything.
Apart from that pish song about being like Marvin Gaye. Even in a telly advert now. I fucking hate it, and try to pull my ears off my head when it comes on. It's up there with the worst songs ever composed.

I think they are shite but this and Been Caught Stealing are quality

FFS TEK you'd be as well buying U2's Greatest Hits - you're probably most of the way there.........
Anyways. To answer yer Original Post. Have you never heard Johnny Cash's version of "One" - it's just brilliant...

And although this is not in line with the original post, I'd imagine many of you are unlikely to have an attachment to Led Zeppelin, but it has always amazed me that we don't have a chant based around this from their Third Album:

Cannae go this egotistical cock.
but i fuckin love this track.
It's like Stevie Wonder on speedballs jamming in the same room as The Prodigy and The White Stripes.
Blinding track.
