Firstly, good to see you back posting again LAO.And secondly thank you for the numbers Sir.
The 3rd Game of Round 1 witnessed another close-fought encounter that was determined by just a single vote. The winner of the tie was the Bowie track 'Aladdin Sane' and it will now progress through to the 2nd Round as a consequence of this victory.Eliminated at the 1st Hurdle unfortunately are the excellent 3 defeated tracks 'Quicksand', 'Soul Love' and 'Valentine's Day'.The latter registering no votes such is the strength of the tracks in this competition.

Another difficult one. The Man Who sold the World was a great tune for other performers too, minding Lulu in the seventies (getting into the top five) and Kurt Cobain twenty years later.
But Ashes To Ashes get a vote here, where Bowie changed his image and musical style once again for a mainstream comeback. A great nursery rhyme of a song.

The man who sold the world.
I have the Lulu version as a major guilty pleasure.
