While I am always pleased to see United games on TV (being virtually confined to bed these days) I get pretty pissed off at not understanding a word the commentators utter! I'm aware of the policy of providing Gaelic speakers with a channel of their own, which is fine, but I would bet my pension that there are more non-Gaels watching the football programmes than actual Gaelic speakers. In my opinion it is unfair to English-speaking licence payers.

The commentary on Alba is the best commentary available on football on to, because I can't understand it. There's hardly an English speaking commentator or pundit that talks any sense or understands the rules of the game.

Much prefer Alba to Andy Walker, Chris Sutton, Ian Crocker or Davie Provan.
