Just read on Twitter he passed away yesterday.Only 43,sad news.

Seen that earlier, but no cause of death. Sad news at such a young age. His last match for us was the Barnes/McLean affair, a 4-0 home defeat v Hearts in 2000. Most remembered for grabbing Gascoigne by the throat in a friendly match.

Yeah i was at that match Pat (Everton game) and mind it well.He actually played quite well in that match if i recall and it was a surprise and dissapointment that for whatever reason his Utd career never took off.
Was it AC Milan we signed him from?

That's right Tek. He was on loan at one of the French clubs at the time I think. He only played a few games for us. FFS. He was about 10 years younger than me.
