January Transfer Window

If we are still top 3 and within reaching distance of top we MUST strengthen this team, which undoubtedly has potential.

Left Back - required who can compete for first team fitba IMMEDIATELY

Defensive Midfielder - We have Paton+Rankin. If we are ALWAYS gonna play 4-2-3-1 we need more than the same 2 DCM all season long.Letting Gomis go was fkn ridic imo.

Striker - I actually think we could do with 2.But one experienced yin who is ready to play in the first team IMMEDIATELY is needed. In 2014 we have let go of the services of Goodwillie,El Alagui,Graham and Gardyne. We have brought in only Bilate, who quite frankly (imo) looks poor.A lot resting on Nadir staying fit and on form till January.

No more sales needed.Raked in 5 million this season.Any dinghy 300k bid for GMS can GTF.Would be a joke and a disgrace if we sold him for under 500k given what a fit on form GMS gives too this side.

Show a bit of ambition Utd or Hell mend ye,you'll always just be there tae make up the numbers. And you'll deserve it too.

We will never EVER get a better chance of mounting a serious title challenge.

Re: January Transfer Window

It must be the budget, i can't imagine the manager would have no interest in replacing the players we have lost

Re: January Transfer Window

Think we need different types...we keep buying like for likes...I'd like to see a Billy McKinley type ball player...a proper out and out winger

something that can change the shape of a game if we're in a hole

a billy mckinlay type in todays market would cost at least 5 million

obviously we're not in the market for the quaility of Billy mckinley...i meant someone who'll knock it about ...to give us the option of changing it fae 2 'water carriers' and 3 attacking midfielders

Re: January Transfer Window

A good balling hard working CM like Murray Davidson would be good IMO. John Souttar maybe.

Striker Johnny back on loan.

Re: January Transfer Window

Stephen Pearson without a club.

Naturally left footed and can play LW or LB.

Maybe worth a deal to seasons end?

Re: January Transfer Window

Needing something up top. Assured and composed to take it on or bring others in to play. Don't think we can fully rely on Nadir alone.

A center mid of some sort to play between the DM and Attacking Mids, we sometimes get left with too big a gap which some teams do manage to expose from time to time. As you said TEK I think Gomis should have been kept for this reason, although JMac was jsut putting him in same position as Paton or Rankin when he got on.

Re: January Transfer Window

Think the most we will get is a left back in January. Got a feeling we'll no get a striker in unless someone gets injured going by the feedback from Jackie Mac

It would be utter folly not to sign a forward in January.

Re: January Transfer Window

It would imo but the boss says we don't have a problem scoring goals and its hard to argue with either of you. Goals for column suggests he's no wrang, goals for strikers suggest your no wrang either. In an ideal world i would sign another, probably a wee predator type like the thumb but that's no ever gonna happen just like Kris Boyd etc. Who do you think we can afford that will give us a different option up front if one of our two first team strkers get injured Tek or anyone else?
