GMS

Just told he's coming on loan for sure. Decent contact. Could be wrong but will be surprised if this doesn't happen knowing the route of this info.

Re: GMS

Would welcome GSM back and hope he hasn't been ruined by his sojourn with Celtic. I'd like to have Ciftci back on loan, but only if he has all his teeth out first!

Re: GMS

GMS would be a dream but I am very dubious he will come to us

Re: GMS

Yeah heard on Thursday night fae my mole the deals 99% done and dusted.

Cue Celtic bringing him on for 15 seconds tomorrow just to cup-tie him.

He left under a huge cloud for me but beggars can't be choosers and if we can get him on form he could just about single-handedly produce the spark that keeps us up.

Time will tell though.Still taking it with a wee pinch of salt at the mo myself (though it's a good contact).

Re: GMS

Remember this is the same gms that begged to leave our  club 1 year ago
Not to fussed if we get him or no tbh

Re: GMS

Yeah, agree with Bowers, out of the three that left to go to they cunts he was the one that showed no remorse, no second thought, couldn't get away quick enough.

That said, he was a very good player for us, we're fucked and he's better than what we currently have so I hope its true

As i said mate,he left under a huge cloud for me.

But if a player of his undoubted class becomes available and is willing to come...are we in a position to turn it down right now?

Re: GMS

If he's committed and wants to play football then it's a no-brainier.  Needs a change in formation tho.

Re: GMS

4-4-2 GMS on the left, Riski on the right, Muirhead and McKay up front. Rankin/Paton and Demel in the middle. Back four of McGowan (or Spittal actually), Donaldson/Morris, Gunning and Dixon at the back. Its not complicated. I wish football managers would stop trying to be clever.

Yep, something like that.  Fear it'll be more complicated to Mixu tho.

Re: GMS

Ehd bite yir hand off for GMS back. Left under a cloud perhaps but we're crying out for pace and width, beggars can't be choosers the position we're in.

Re: GMS

Have no problem with him coming back.

Was leaving when his contract was up for more money  (shock, horror) - can think of places I'd rather have seen him go but I suspect he was viewed as too fragile for English championship - the decision to sell in January was Thompson's (a mistake imo).

As I've said before my only fear is that he's low on confidence and might take a while to get going

He didn't get on, which is great if he does sign for us.

Re: GMS

I'm in the same boat as most of you, he couldn't wait to get out of Tannadice so I have no real love left for him. . . . . . . . . . But, on his day he is the best winger United have had since Milne & Bannon ran the show.

Re: GMS

If the deal does happen it'll not be done this week.

Re: GMS

Agree any deal will happen after our game with them

Re: GMS

I pretty much agree with all the sentiments above about GMS.

We lack cut and thrust and pace in the 3 amigo positions and the ability to quickly support McKay.  I liked the look of Risky when he came on, as he looked to go forward at pace and seemed capable of going either way and with both feet.

I like Erskine and Fraser, but Erskine ran out of steam yesterday and Fraser seems to lack a bit of dig IMO and being so one footed, he comes back or goes side ways much more than he goes forward.

As well as keeping clean sheets; or minimising goals conceded, we need to solve the 3 amigo conundrum and quickly, especially as none of our two holders we play can ever be described as "playmakers".

I admire your consistency and salute it Sir!  I'd expect nothing less.  No one can accuse you of being bi-polar or of doing constant U-turns!!!

Find it hard to believe that a guy like Stokes could apply himself in a committed way to any other team than Septic.  He even goes outside their boundaries.
He's more up the RA than up the sellic.
I'd take any striker to bail us out but just can't see him trying to do much for us.
