Family won't "prop up" the club if they go down.

After listening to his interview this is how we will get relegated absolutely no leadership from the top man . Just when the fans are looking for the Gettysburg address we get a diatribe of self pity and ( oh why don't the fans appreciate me for what I have done ) and then the huffiness of ( il show you lot I'm no putting any more money in ) that interview will really get the fans onside
just when you think things can't get any worse they do. Teams rarely get relegated on one bad decision , it's normally a series of catastrophic decisions . If it was down to bad decisions made we would be top of the league . So depressing it really is

No surprise to see him avoiding all the blame. Blindly backing your manager as he spunks about £650k on utter shite is gross negligence. He controls the money, he has the final say on transfers in and out. If he had concerns about the standard of players being brought in in the summer then he should have a) told McNamara at the time and/or b) refused to sanction the signings. Whats the worst that would've happened? McNamara resigning? Would've been a win-win all round. He's paying the price of bottling the only decision he needed to make which was sacking Jackie at the end of last season, but it appears he let others persuade him otherwise. He's an arrogant cunt. That interview is all money, money money. Thats all he's interested in, and is the reason we are in the shit now.

I tend to agree with him. The reason we are bottom of the league is due to the shocking recruitment in the summer. Chairman sets the budget, the manager spends it. Although he can't win with some supporters when he said nothing he was a prick when he talks he is a prick.

Jackie had chucked it well before the Summer, he was waiting on his pay off. Our Chairman just let him and the rest of his pisshead crew do what they wanted. Letting him spend money on shite is as reckless as it gets, he knew what they were up to. Yet he was hoping he would save on compo. He is 100% to blame here.

ST has a lot to answer for for the sales, but the fundamental problem is the replacements. Whether it's down to Jackie's poor judgement of a recruit or ST's underestimation of reinvesting level, we may never know.

Remember the bonus scheme - imo it made Macnamara prone to risk taking when it came to recruitment - the bonus scheme was put in place by the board and the buck stops with the chairman.

Also revealed by the board. The scheme could encourage risk taking bordering on gambling but would never encourage long term strategies.

"But that didn't happen so we got to where we are, financially we're in a far better position.

I'm at a total loss as to why he would do an interview like this. I mean he's probably filled a lot of folk with a lack of confidence about the Club, and made us nervous wrecks into the bargain (I mean talkin aboot admins FFS). Not to mention he's no exactly given a good impression of himself.

Hope I'm wrong but sat on the fence for a long time regarding ST. Wasn't sure what to think when the fallout was going on between ST, JMac and Fed/Trust.
