I see Dow having a similar career path to davie robertson. 6 yrs floating around at Tannadice convincing no one, 6 yrs later out of the professional game

I liked Robertson, absolute cult hero.
Ryan Dow has nothing to be either a hero or a cult hero.
Ta-ra ya useless cunt.

David Robertson was pish. Ryan Dow is worse.

Dow was fantastic in the cup semi last year - however, he hasn't shown up well in many other games. He's got to an age where he needed to be taking a leading role and he hasn't made it - maybe a wee bit unlucky with injuries too - but wouldn't be too sad to see him go.
No idea what sort of wage he would be on - so not sure how much space it would clear off the wage bill to get somebody better in...If he signs - can we convince them to take him now?

Won us the game when he came on against Aberdeen in the semi last year. Not that it makes him a hero and not that winning that game actually mattered. We all know what happened next.

Dow would need to play consistently well and injury free from now until late May to in anyway deserve being offered a new deal. Something he's never done in 6 years at Tannadice (bar a wee 2/3 month spell in early 2014).
Since his last contract extension he's contributed very little.

Gets in great positions but does nothing with them. Happy to see him move on.

Haven't really seen him play with mckay under our new boss. Questions have to be asked on how long and how often he was asked to play with an injury. And I also think he is a far better impact player than a player who starts, absaloutley nothing wrong with being a good sub impact player. Albeit a different scale worked wonders fir ole.

Im really not convinced any replacements are on the horizon so no way should he be leaving in January. He's an option, even if it is just from the bench and we are really lacking them at the moment with Pongolle out for another month seemingly. I'd rather have Dow coming off the bench than Murray or Bodul thats for sure.

Yep agree mate best option off the bench we have. If no new signings come in then he will play from start.
Kawashima
Dillon gowser gunning Dixon
Dow demel pates/ranks Spittal
Muirhead mckay
Sad thing is there is no way when u look at these players that we are worse team in league. It's baffling. I'm sure ull all agree.
And if he gets fit u have pongolle to come in perhaps a wide position then it looks tad better. Haven't seen much but wen he had his few minutes he looked guid on ball.

Nobody should be getting offered a new deal until we know what league we'll be playing in, and if we go down then Dow and others need to be let go anyway.
Semi final v sheep apart I can't remember a decent performance from him in the last 12 months.
