So what is the Robertson fee

Have heard some reports as low as 2.3 million.

Be very dissapointed if he's went for as little as that.

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

More than anything i hope we have agreed to a 'sell-on percentage clause'.

If he has a season down there like he's just had for us,Hull will be selling him next Summer for 10million.

Wee 10% cut of that for The Shed would be good business.

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

Being reported as 2.85million.Not sure if that's before or after add-on's,i suspect the latter.

Not bad though. The same fee as Goodie and he was a forward who had been at tannadice for years and scored loads of goals.Forwards always go for more money tae,.Close tae 3 million for a SPL fullback is pretty much exceptional money (unless it's Celtic).

Really really hope there is a sell-on clause though, cos i reckon Robertson is destined for bigger things than Hull eventually.

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

Made the mistake of having a peek on Mad and as per the thread descended intae a bitching session amongst several.

 Hull = bigger stadium,bigger wages,bigger support,bigger league,bigger training ground etc etc

It's a good move for him.

And an excellent platform to establish himself as an Internationalist for years tae come.

He deserves it too.Hard work pays off.

As long as he doesn't lower himself to the standards of Rod Hull we'll reap the benefits of this deal for years to come if it's structured like the Gauld deal with a percentage of any sell on fee with no time limit. Maybe we can afford to increase the wage cap now and offer the likes of GMS an improved contract?

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

Gutted he is away but for that money and a clear slate for the club he had to go.

If the talk of 1.5 in the black is true it really has been an exceptional 7 months for United business wise.

That's pretty much what I'd worked out in my head from the numbers mentioned when the bank deal was done, so to hear it is as much as that in the bank is very good news.

Selling club/buying club/player = win/win/win.

Just like Ryan, but for Andy it's another stepping stone to much greater things because his attitude will drive him on even further.

let it go ffs he is worth £50m now and isnt it amazing to hear the kop sing his name - more than any other player.  He is a legend i hear.

Absolutely delighted for Andy Robertson. Works hard, did right by our club (and queens park), is a great role model for kids and thoroughly deserves everything coming his way.

We got a good fee for him.

We did well bringing him in and selling him on. He might do us well in creating an image of being a stepping stone club again as folk outside of Utd impressed with him won't give a fuck about the later failings of the club, only the connection with DUFC.

Great ambassador for DUFC for the future.

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

Do we get add-on add-ons or is it just once?
And did QP get an add-on from us, I hope they did.

Yer question sounds mental but contracts can be negotiated to be passed on if agreed and signed I'd rekon. Never heard of a sell on sell on but legal folk might say how no if contracted. Might even have sell on sell on sell ons x's mair in future. All about the contracts agreed.

Future clubs would have to agree or change terms with a financial incentive to change terms. All about the £££'s and £££'s capitulation to re negotiate.

Nothing is set in stone these days when money can re negotiate.

Has always been the case but money in futba is wild now.

And they're selling Hampden?
Anyone know how to get on the QP board quickly?

Re: So what is the Robertson fee

It is fantastic to see how well this lad has done.  Great wee player and will go on to have a great career.  Probably never going to happen but I'd love to see a club like Barca or Bayern buy him and take him up another level again.

But remember though folks, Tierney is a far superior player.
