Room 101

As per the TV show, straight to the depths of hell.......

I'll start, anyone near a high street with an acoustic guitar making every song 'your own.' Please get a gig, if you are any good people will pay to see you.

Re: Room 101

Bar staff manners nowadays. There was a time when they would ask you what you would like as soon as you enter the saloon, now they will do anything but serve you (not all may i add but most) like head in the phone stance, selective hearing/service etc

Hear their shout, hear their roar
They've probably had a barrel of ale and much, much more
Hooray, hooray, hooray, yeah
Over the hill went the swords of a thousand men

Re: Room 101

Folk who go abroad on holiday 2-3 times a year then spend the rest of the year moaning about how they've got no money.
When your work has a dress down day and some folk come in dressed in hiking boots/shoes and hiking clothes.  Are you going up the hills today?????? No, well why are you dressed like you are then?????????  Have some sense of style ffs.

I was at a wedding where a guests was wearing a suit with a big pair of hiking boots. I don't even think he was taking the piss.

Re: Room 101

Very fitting indeed.

I've reserved a post on the film thread for 2001 a space odyssey.

Adverts for TOWIE, Made in Chelsea, Giro Shore - The programmes are terrible but can be avoided, its the adverts that do my head in, they are incessant.

Re: Room 101

Can't remember the last time I saw an advert. Tape everything and ad breaks are now 2 presses of a fast forward button. Having said that, don't watch much ITV but there's the odd C4/E4 programme.

Re: Room 101

Pet hate(s) of mine in everyday language are the following.

1) I was literally just talking about that.

As opposed to metaphorically just talking about that. Or any use of the word literally, which gets literally used in almost every sentence these days.

2) He gave 110% out there.

He did not, 100% is the maximum then he literally can not have given any more than that.

3) He just about kept it in.

Did he or did he not literally keep it in?  It looks like he did, they are playing on but you're inferring that by just about keeping it in he in fact did not keep it in.  Are you 110% sure?

Ha ha, who is this Limmy fella?

Never heard of him before the referendum but read a few things from him about it since, I thought he was a political reporter or something, I'm now assuming he's a comedian?
