Scotsman gossip questioning if Gms is coming back to united - also saying souttar is off to celtic...

I'd rather poke myself in the eye than see that wee chunt back at Tannadice.

Don't get me wrong - it's not that he went to celtic, I'd have Armstrong back in a second - it's how he forced united into letting him go. Grinning like a f'ing cheshire cat when he was going in parkheid etc. I only wish him the worst for the rest of his career.

Doesn't have the heart for a fight anyway....

I'd take him back in a heart beat. I was gonna post the other day about soutar to celtic. As much as he is a tool I was thinking about wither I'd be happy with a one for one swap with stokes. Ideal scenario would be gms back on permanent deal and ciftci or stokes on loan.

Two goals at the weekend, looks like he's about to become a player for them.

Wouldn't be surprised if Celtic or GMS agent is touting his return to try and get some interest in him. Seems to have fallen down the pecking order.

Would take him back in a second but can't see it. Although I said the same about Goodie...

Hunted I agree boy can be a tool but has ability and proven in this league. And the chances of him playing at celtic are slim to none.

I doubt that any of them will end up here. Stokes may fancy getting regular games to try and get in Republic squad. Reckon he'll be away from Celtic. Will he get a game in the Championship?

We certainly need a bit of width and pace which GMS has, along with a decent scoring record.

Have no problem with him going to Celtic (and if I ever got a pay rise like that got him I'd be grinning like a Cheshire cat myself) - they're professional footballers.

My worry would be that he's a player that thrives on confidence - that's not going to be there as he's not been getting games - and we need players that'll hit the ground running.

OP is probably spot on in most respects but I'd want him in the team right now. See why Tangy doesn't but get SM's feelings too as we will generally welcome any help right now whether or not we like the helper.

Griffiths and Stokes are higher up on my hate list but I'd take the pair of the cunts in a flash.

Mind it's only a gossip column we're reacting to. 😉

was only meant to be a talking point tbh - as the title says - silly season.

to me, hes not the man for a battle - how many times did he take a big hit in minute 1 then be posted missing. Also remember his absolutely terrible form from august - december, before he decided he would play for a move.

To make it clear, i didn't wish injury on him - i just hope he doesn't have any sort of career. if, he happened to come back would i boo him? I don't know - i think the only united player i have booed was steven thompson when he decided to go to ra hun - along with every other person in the ground (st mirren at home, midweek???? i can't remember)

Our manager has contacts throughout Europe - why I'd rely on somebody who forced the club into making a decision which would have such an impact on the current and following season, just because we know him, I don't know.

First I'm no a boo boy, I have made my feelings clear on spittal!

Secondly the reason we should take gms is cause a proven player in this league, as were mckay McGowan ect! I would rather we went for someone who is proven and let's be honest a gamble who could turn out like bodul, sneijder ect!

It's no his fault he left to probably triple his wage if I got offered that I would be away also, football isn't about loyalty anymore it's about money as it's such a short career which could end at any point! It's no his, ciftci or armstrongs fault we are in the position we are in it's the players McNamara signed not being good enough

In keeping with the season, silly that is not Xmas, it's apparently being 'widely' reported today that not only will Mixu recall Robbie Muirhead in January but also Henri Anier (some of you may remember him).

I assume it's cos Stubbs thinks he's shite.....

We have no option really but to bring Anier back if Hibs have cut his loan deal short.

I'm hoping (perhaps unrealistically) that a new Manager at Utd might just be the impetus he needs to try again to salvage some kind of career at Tannadice.

There was a player there at Motherwell, and not even that long ago.

I think personally the lad has suffered a horrific crisis of confidence in his ability.Seen it before,one bad game turns into two, then three and before you know it the fans are murmuring every time you miss a chance and it just snowballs from there.

Got to say the confidence problem seems to have surfaced when he was in Germany and given the length of time it's gone on now I'm struggling to see Mixu being able to turn it around.

We certainly need more effective strikers but Henri coming good would be the biggest Xmas miracle since the one in 0 ad.

Wouldn't complain if it happened tho and we are sorely in need of a bit of luck....
