New York is amazing and I'd love to do it again with the kids.
Not sure it counts as a city but Sorrento is a classy place.

Lived in Auckland so that would be my vote, cracking way of life there big city but really relaxed.
Sydney was also cracking and seeing the bridge and opera house is about the only time I can say I have actually had my breath taken away a real wow moment
Do enjoy a trip to London however can only last a few days and need to get out of the rat race. Copenhagen was really nice too.
New York is on my list to visit

Scara Brae is the one I really fancy. Will head up when the weather is less hurricanish and rent a wee ancient cottage for a week and get stone age pished.
As a half-Orcadian who spent all the war years in Orkney I have to say Skara Brae is absolutely amazing! I was last there in 2009 and visited several historical sites of which the islands have quite a number, the Ring of Brodgar, for example, older than Stonehenge, Maes Howe burial chamber, Skail House adjacent to Skara Brae, and closer to our time St Magnus cathedral in Kirkwall, and many others. A week might not be long enough!
Travelled by road from Leeds with 2 of my sons in 2002, and passed through spectacular scenery en route. The view of the Old Man of Hoy from the ferry is really stunning.
Been on my bucket list for some time now.

Toronto for me but Berlin was also a great city. Barcelona. Athens and London also great places.
Suppose it all depends on your interests and what you manage to do when there.
