It's really starting to bug me now his persistence with having 6 defensive players in the team and just 1 upfront.
In no game under Mixu have we yet scored more than one goal. And quite a few of those were of course penalties.
Christ even under McNamara we scored two goals in two games,Motherwell away and Dundee at home (3 games if you include the 3 goals v Dunfermline).
What am I trying to say? McNamara is a better Manager than Mixu?Hell no.
But he must get more attackers up the park. Lack of goals is the biggest factor in killing us.

It is very depressing.

The problem I suppose is lack of options.
There is really only Murray,Erskine or Bodul who could partner McKay. Dow and Pongolle injured.
Out of that lot I'd say Murray would be worth a try in a partnership. He at least has pace (something the whole team lacks),he also appears to be hungry anytime I've seen him.
I don't really see an alternative.

The only crumb of comfort you can take is that they're at least creating chances. Doesn't mean much if they don't take them but it would be a hell of a lot more worrying if they were losing games and creating zilch.

Hopefully Erskine can get a run mate. Looked good when he came on.
Problem was in the hour or so between Pongo going off and Squiddy coming on, there was no link between midfield and attack. Relying on full backs as the main source of creativity.

When he didn't show some balls last week and change formation to get the win vs 10 men, that's when I knew he wasn't the right man. Hopefully he can turn it round somehow.

I'll reserve judgment on Mixu until he changes enough staff to have his own team capable of following his ideas.
Saying that I wish he'd ditch the rolling the ball out fae an unconfidant keeper to an unconfidant defence in between.

One thing about defences playing against us right now- they aren't having to prepare for dealing with high balls, be they long clearances, or crosses. Corners, aye, but the range of our attacks has little variety.

Lack of alternatives in the striking, attacking midfield and wide positions is what is killing us just now.
Our set pieces are absolutely woeful as well though. We must've had about 15 corners yesterday and not one of our players got their heads on anything. Their boy Seaborne won everything. Not one of our players uses their body to get in front of his marker. If fact Ryan McGowan does this daft diving header thing rather than just trying to outmuscle his marker and most of the time loses height when he does it and on two occasions actually got in Gunnings road. This just shows what a bunch of shitebags they are because we've got plenty of big lads now: Demel, Gunning, McGowan, Morris and Durnan are all 6ft+. We should be winning our fair share. Our delivery is woeful which doesn't help mind you.
We have been playing better probably since the Ross County game. Yesterday was the worst for about a month though. We didn't make as many clear cut chances and never really dominated until after they scored. We still had opportunities though. If the confidence starts to go though if we keep failing to score and we stop creating chances, then we've got big problems because the defence is still an accident waiting to happen.
Its fucking cheery stuff eh?
