I think the keeper was a fault too. Good of our 2 centre halves though to give the all time SPL goal scorer a free shot at goal though.
We won't climb the league until thon keeper, Durnam and Dillon are all droppedYup.
Morris will hopefully replace one of them but if we are going to carry on playing a back three we will either need to sign another centre half to replace the other one or, play McGowan there and sign another right back. Personally, I'd sign another centre half since I think McGowan has done well as a right wing back and is well suited to that role.
Morris is ok but he's a crock. McGowan isn't a centre half.
Then again neither are Durnam or Dillon
The fitness of Morris wasn't helped by that game at Perth last Christmas. But he makes less mistakes than Durnan and Dillon.

Spittal is the guy creating things for us just now, not the finished article and to be fair not great at the wkend but you'd think he was Keanu Marsh Brown the way some folk go on.

Turn up to the game and look at spittal as a young player that hasn't reached his potential.
Instead of picking up on his faults and going daft at him, focus on what he does positive.
It might surprise you.
I'm not saying he won't make mistakes, but try and ignore them if they aren't that big.
I started doing this when watching the younger players, makes it a more enjoyable experience.
That's not to say I don't get pissed off at some of the displays on offer from the team.

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments, but at the moment this is a luxury we cannot afford!

We are in deep deep and we simply cannot afford to carry players like Spittal, what he may or may not be in 3 years is completely irrelevant we need 11 diggers right here right now.
I do feel sorry for him getting stick because he really shouldn't be in the team tight now, its too early for him in his developmentto be a regular at this level especially in a struggling team.

I'm never t saying we are carrying him, I'm saying he does more right than wrong.
I know we are in a relegation battle and people should only be in the team on merit.
Spittal has provided most of our recent chances in the past 3 games.
We need goals.
Running about a lot or putting in hard challenges are all well and good. We still need someone that can set up goals though.
If McKay had put away half the chances he set up, this wouldn't even be a conversation. It seems harsh to blame him for that.

I am not blaming him in particular infact Durnan and the keeper are really costing us way more than Spittal drifting in and out of every game.
Killie's goal is our real problem
The cross comes over with no pressure to stop it
Neither Durnan or Dillon are touch tight on Boyd and neither is attacking the ball
The balls drops in the 6 yard box and where is our keeper?

As much as it pains me to agree with Plumber ;), he is spot on.
I'm fucking furious that we gave Dillon a new deal nice guy or not.

I agree with you on that and in most of what you are saying.
In fact pretty much all of it.
I'm just saying I think spittal was in as he was our best option rather than a luxury.
That is a concern though as like you say he's not the finished article.
Being thrown in like this could set him back years.
That may change now erskine is back.
Im still nervous that we are relying on boys like that to bail us out though.
I still think we need some new faces in januarty

As far as I can see, Spittal and a few others are not in the team on merit, but rather due to there being no better options at the moment.

I like Spittal and i rate him.
But the lads not ready to play wek in week out and be someone who scores goals regulary.
Erskine should take his place in the team, and he should be used from the bench for the time being.
