Wow indeed. But we won't be able to field 12 players.

Got too excited! Take ernemenko oot

He talks about the role he has planned for him. I dont think he will be rb or in centre, defensive midfielder is where i see him going and if morris is fit and if we get pongo my team would be.
Kawashima
Dillon morris gunning dixon
Demel
Mgowan fraser ranks
Pongo mkay
I have put ranks there because he has played lb and could give dixon the cover required when he bombs forward,
Im sure ppls opinions will be diffrent but this is mine. If we got eremenko he would play in place of fraser purley for his ability to pass. And players like fraser and telfer would learn a great deal from him imo. Also these two players id have on a strict bulking up programme. They have talent but not the power.
All in all its easy as fuk wen your just making a team selection on you computer lol

Been thinking aboot this signing all day, and em absolutely delighted with it, what a coup for Utd.
Realise he's 34 but imo, this guy will stroll oor league.
The keeper, Pongolle, and a wide player, then we'll soon pick up points.
Really buzzing for the fight.

Ditto.
Been strangely apathetic and even dare I say it a wee bit 'oot of love' with Utd these past few months.
But despite our position in the league and my ongoing doubts over aspects of our stewardship (at Boardroom level) I am very impressed with Mixu so far,and his signings are already looking impressive (on paper anyway) and I like the way he's going about things bringing players in on trial, identifying their role in the team and only handing out short term deals incase it doesn't work out.
Latterly it felt like McNamara was making panic signings based on DVD's he'd been sent and meeting guys like Bodul and Bilate in hotels in Holland and handing out 3 year deals based on nothing more than a hunch.
If we do go down it won't be for lack of effort on Mixu's part,of that I am certain. And that's all i can ask for from anyone...100% effort, fight and commitment to the badge and their own professional pride.
Mon United.

I think I'm the opposite of you mate. My passion, support, and resolve for all things Utd strengthens when the going gets tough. IMO, it's easy to support your team when everything is going well.

I wasn't apathetic because we were losing Silver, you're reading me wrong.
I was getting apathetic and very depressed because I felt there were people at the club who were only here to pick up a wage and didn't have any real love for the club.
I'm well used to seeing Utd lose games beh Christ.I've been through the bad times with the club and will be there this season when I can to get behind the team.
I can handle defeat.Hell I can even handle relegation (been there, done that). What I can't abide is no fucking fight or passion for the badge/club.

Apologies mate.
I know I go over board sometimes regarding backing the club to the hilt when others are dissing their every move, but I get very defensive, like it's my club, like " how fkn dare they criticise my club?" We all have the club's interests at heart eh.

I know, that team is a head scratcher. The earlier team of 12 players minus Dillon is better. We need a wide player though.

Theres a massive differance between what jackie was doing and what mixu is doing. The writing was on the wall from a fans point of view for months what was happening thank fuck we now have people in that appear to be 100% focused on saving us from going down.

Mon United.
I was going to say something similar to this. I like the way Mixu is operating. Definitely seems more thorough than McNamara did.
A lot of people when asked for suggestions as do who we should get in for players on our budget said 'that's the managers job'. This was a fair point under McNamara. I don't think many can complain that Mixu isn't exhausting all avenues and also doing his due diligence prior to offering a sensible contract.
I'm sure we'll soon see the benefits

We seen a big differance in our players on saturday for the majority of the first half.
Im confident for our survival with mixu

I think we'll keep the same setup IMO.
You dont go to work on a new system if you're gonna bin it after a week.
Speaking to one of the boys, he says 'flo' is a number 10.
Demel will play in the middle with Rankin. letting McGowan, Dixon, Flo & Telfer provide the service toi McKay.

Bit off topic but this is what gav gunning just said in his pressed;
@TyroneSTV: Gavin Gunning says from what he's seen so far, Mixu Paatelainen is the best manager he's worked under on the training ground
I've very very confident he is currently the best man for the job
Offline
I am aswel.
I said at the time i wasnt overly confident with him and he had a hell of a job on his hands but he has impressed me so far
Offline
Gunning also suggested that Florent S-P has or was signing for us too.

Gie Gie Gie Demmel to banish the GMS version forever?
Quite a coup on the face of it. Used to have him in my Dream Team a couple of season back when he was at West Ham! Brilliant attitude in the ArabZONE interview. Too much to ask for him to be besties with Didier Drogba and thus a cheeky wee MLS offs season loan from Toronto??? Keep them coming Mr Chairman, I'd like another 2 if possible (3 if you include the Goalie).................
