The Elephant Man should win the tie no probs but he departed just as i was starting to watch Utd.
Whereas Billy Dodds was a bit of a hero for me in my late teens/early twenties. Was absolutely gutted when he left to go to Ibrox (don't think i'd ever been so disspointed with a departure tbh previous or since). And that season he banged in goals for fun was a good point in my life which i remember with fondness.Had the best times of my life following Utd back then. Some brilliant away days and trips upto Dundee. And BD feels synonymous with that whole period for me.
So he gets my vote.

Both ex-Zombie's and sheep. One took EBT's, the other bought the Rendezvous

Gutted as well when Billy Dodds departed, as was the whole club quite obviously, given the slump which followed. We only won three games after BD left in early December til the end of the season. I felt BD going depleted Telesnikov at the time, which also had a terrible affect on the club. From winning most games and sitting in the top three, we tumbled down the table finishing a poor eighth, and the slump continued the next season when we escaped relegation only due to a fantastic four wins in the last four games.
But Davie Dodds was a fantastic striker, and a far better footballer than folk appreciated: part of our greatest side, a perfect foil for Luggy and always bringing others into the game. Just as likely to win us a point or points in games in which we were struggling with a bit of brilliance on his own too. A match in the championship winning season against Dundee comes to mind.
So, with his phantom moustache and penchant for extra helpings at school dinners, Davie Dodds gets my vote.

Has to be Davie.

Billy Dodds.
Absolutely carried United in his first spell, not many players leave the club and i am really saddened by it but when he left i thought the world was ending.
Davie would've won against everyone except Billy, Luggy & possibly Kevin Gallacher.

Billy Dodds was a better player than some people give him credit for. Was much more than just a forward.
Really linked up well with the midfield and for a wee guy was brilliant at holding the ball up and allowing others time to make runs/find space.
Played well for Scotland too.
Davie Dodds, reasons all as comments above
