Both legends, but first silverware, that header going in, thousands of Arabs going mental in the Provie road end - has to be Willie P.

Wasn't lucky enough to have seen either play for Utd unfortunately.

For goals to games ratio and for being one of the players who finally put Dundee United FC on the footballing map i will vote for Finn Dossing.

That's a tough ane this. But on reflection Finn Dossing for me.

Pettigrew took a surprising and commanding early lead there, but I choose Finn Dossing on the basis of a better scoring record and getting 13 goals in 13 consecutive games at one point.

Was thrilled when we signed Pettigrew, I recall, and he seemed to score a lot of cup goals, but several were against lesser sides (four in one game against Dundee for example). Unsure whether he had fitness issues, as he always appeared fucked during matches.

Finn Dossing cost less than a tenth of the Pettigrew fee, had a better scoring record, and saved us from relegation form when he signed. The club may have gone down and never recovered but for the signings of the Scandinavians, and he was the one who made the biggest impact.

 

Tough but purely on that record, I choosen Finn Dossing.
