Both great scoring records and I only saw JR but I'll go for Mitchell his record was better.

A bit like the last game this. It's hard not to vote for one of only about 10 guys who scored over 100 goals for Utd.But that's what i'm going to do.
Johnny Russell.
Great wee player.Had pace, could score with both feet, positionally aware, could head the ball, had dig and could stand up for himself.
Scored one of the best Utd goals i've ever seen too (the goal v Dundee in the 3-0 win in 2012?).

Much as I loved Johnny Russell, I'm going for Ian Mitchell in this one.
Although I wouldn't argue that Johnny was any less of a striker, Ian Mitchell was our top scorer over several seasons, out-scoring Finn Dossing at times.

What Pat says (even though I never saw him play) and without any disrespect to JR.

It's a disgrace Denis Gillespie got beat from Duncan Ferguson by that amount.
A complete disgrace.
