Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

Best forgotten.

Played well, possibly the best we have seen all season yet still got fuck all from the game.

Shit performance from that cunt Thompson allowing that team to foul throughout the game. FFS that team is so anti football. Utter cunts the lot of them and Wright is also a cunt.

Still hopeful for the season. 1st half performance was excellent apart from the score.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

The good thing for me was that MIxu had tried to address our problems with a new formation and has the common sense to use the two week break to introduce the players to it and to work on it.

Some good stuff in the first half too.

If I had one criticism of Mixu's changes its that McGowan can't do the wing back thing for 90 mins (I'd rather he was in the back three in that formation)  and I thought Dixon looked really uncomfortable defensively at times.

Time to give spark/robson a chance maybe?

Dixon has been a massive disappointment second time around, for me.

Can't remember one game since his return where I've thought post-match 'Dixon had a right good game today'.

That left back position is there for the taking if Spark or Robson want it enough and show the requisite form in the Devs.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

Dixon was excellent first half but 2nd half he and the midfield struggled once Telfer went off, Saints also basically kicked fuck out of us once they had the lead as per usual.

When you play well and still go in a half time down that's relegation stuff. We must win next week. Otherwise we're right in the proper shite

We were actually lucky it was only 1-2 half time, disagree with Mixu that we should have won that

I honestly thought we matched them in the first half and if we'd gone in at half time ahead or level it would have been a fair reflection of how things had gone.

That having been said we were rank the minute we had to chase the game and I think Mixu needs a bit more flexibility in his formation when we need to chase things.

Hopefully that will come with time and some new faces.

Yeah its how I'm feeling.  Don't care about performances at this point.  It's getting bleak

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

Just watched the highlights: McGowan's would have been a penalty for the old firm, not many others. The booking was ridiculous though.

That's McGowan's fifth this season: is he due a suspension?

See Spittal getting slagged again: he was involved in the McKay goal build up, played the one-two with Telfer for his chance, and hit our best second half effort. He's still 19, and (in my opinion, mind) he's our most consistent young player presently.

Falling six points behind though: will it put off potential signings from joining up in January if the situation gets worse? Especially if we are after any player who is under contract elsewhere.

The slagging Spittal gets is crazy, one of our best performers this season, not difficult to be fair.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

The apparent need by some in our "support" to have scapegoats is scary.  A 19 year old boy who is pretty much a first pick, trying his hardest (mainly out of position) in a struggling team with a lack of leadership both on and off the park should be one of the last to receive any criticism.  Signed as an "inside forward" (showing my age there) that was pretty much the first time yesterday he has ever played for us in what is probably his favoured position.  Up until the pre half time madness, there were plenty glimpses of what he can be.  If we (as a support) are going to discard and write off potential talent such as Blair Spittal before the age of 21/22 then we are truly and utterly holed below the waterline as a football club.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

Just watched the goals on the Zone and ours is what we all want to see.

But theirs it looks to me it was Billy McKay who was culpable at the first by not matching the run; and the second???......I presume Szromnik was left a book by Rado on how he dealt with crosses

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

gonna give huge credit to Mixu. That was a bold, brave move by installing a new formation. It's a whole new system. first 40minutes and I could only see one winner. They were slicing balls out of th park and all over the place. If Telfer scores then it's game over.

Thought second half we went back into our shells. Never got the ball into the box often enough. That's where McKay thrives. He ended up coming deep to get on the ball which is NOT where he needs to be. So many times, we were fucking about out in the channels instead of whipping a ball in.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

Just watched SportScene and there we have it - Scotland's best referee Craig Thompson in the eyes of the Refereeing Supervisor, Hugh Dallas will get away with more   If you are to book for simulation, there has to be no contact.  Any football player worth their salt bringing a ball back inside a full back would go down with contact such as that.

Interesting footnote on team character.  The Agricultural Farmers have gained 13 points from losing positions this season, 5 more than our total for the season thus far!  6 of them against us obviously.

What about the wee jobbie that came on after their first goal? looked like POLICESCOTLAND were scared to arrest the cunt.

the 2nd goal cunt needs to have a shave ,let his balls drop and get back to listening to Union J.

Re: Utd v St.Johnstone - Sat 21/11/15 3pm

Thought we played really well first half, the whole team seems confident on the ball and up for it.  As soon as we go 2-1 down you can see the tension return.  If we go in 1-0 up at half time its a different game.

That was fucking ridiculous it took for the stewards and police to actually bother someone had made it onto the pitch and then go to get him. A total breach of security they should get there arses handed to them for that

Can only assume, based on other pitch invaders at our ground's punishments, this cunt is going to get hung, drawn and quartered?
