Re: Eubank V's Benn

I heard Eubank on the radio the other week - apparently Benn wants to fight him again!

Re: Eubank V's Benn

Mind watching that

an absolute epic.

A great Staurday night's entertainment live on ITV -it'd be SKY box Office these days and advertised for about 3 month before at £19.95.

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?

Re: Eubank V's Benn

was a big Eubanks fan growing up.  Everything went t1ts up when Sky had that contract with him for 12 fights in 3 years or something stupid like that.

There is the possibility their sons could fight.  Both Benns were on Colin Murray's TalkSport show a few weeks back.  It was brilliant listening.

Re: Eubank V's Benn

I'm swithering on buying the Klitcho/Furey fight. Would love to see it but sweir to pay so much for the privilege. It's sure to be a massive anti-climax one way or another.....

Re: Eubank V's Benn

Booked the Slav v the pikey fight. Don't really care which one wins just so long as it's a decent scrap. Though I'm not too sure about that. There's been a mountain of hype already with more to follow all this week. I have a suspicion that Fury might have been better off following tradition and laying tarmac or dealing in scrap metal....

Well, I drew my pension and had to look twice and then think several times. But I don't drink and  don't smoke, so convinced myself I could afford it. But  you're right, they hype these bouts to high heavens and by the time they take place we are hooked. And as a former boxer I'm easily hooked anyway.

I subscribed to the TV channel "BoxNation" but in a very short space of time binned it. I objected to paying out good money to watch repeat after repeat of mainly obscure American fighters, although have to admit I was fair impressed by the ring girls!

Re: Eubank V's Benn

One of my sons runs a pub in Wakefield and tells me he has to pay £175 to show the fight. He does expect to be packed out, though. I wonder how many pubs throughout the country are paying through the nose like that? Sky and Virgin  making a fortune!
