Re: aberdeen 7th November

Dixon plays at LB... Dillon RB.

Souttar back in midfield.

We better see a huge reaction today after that pish on Wednesday.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Johnson makes bench too.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Notice that Bodul hasn't even made the bench - which, given how bad we've been of late, says a lot.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Looks a much better balanced line up, just hope Dixon hasn't been put in too early! !

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Like the way this has gone so far.  Think the manager has set us up well to sneak a 0-1 win here.  Durnan ALWAYS has me nervous though

Re: aberdeen 7th November

1-0

Hayes tearing us apart down his side.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Re: aberdeen 7th November

game over.  im sorry but a blind man could see he was tearing us apart and we've done nothing to stop that all game.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

It's been, to this stage, a better overall performance,  but this half and the last United have been far too open down our right side.

see thats right Pat, but stating the obvious, its all about points.  It doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out Hayes is going to be their main threat, we've not done enough to combat him.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

6 points off 10th as we stand.  Things will get proper desperate really quick here unless we can string a couple of results together.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Yip we simply must stay in touch or it will leave us needing a miracle run of form post xmas

Re: aberdeen 7th November

We're in such a sad, sorry state. The last two games we've genuinely tried our tits off and look what it has achieved. Fuckkkkkk. That eleven today was close enough to the best we could line up. Personally I'd have had McGowan in his proper position and fucked Dillon off for Donaldson.

Started the game pretty poorly but were well in it from 20' to half time - probably edging it in terms of being the better team. Fraser had the best chance, probably should have tried to play Taggart/McKay in. Then we throw all that away by letting the cross in. God knows why our defenders don't react to this second ball - something we never do. Tragic stuff.

Dixon was brilliant at least - shouldn't have switched Spittal and Fraser over, as exposed Dillon even more than before. Second goal came from Dillon's side again though we were over committing by then.

We just can't create much chances at all. Stems from having absolutely nothing in the centre nor any pace. Rankin apparently presses folk but from my eyes, he's never in the correct position and so fucking deep.

SHOW ME THE WARCHEST

Re: aberdeen 7th November

On the upside, we have now just played the 2 top teams in the league - so you'd hope if we kept the same levels up against less skilled opponents,  we will see results.

Personally,  don't think it's going to be pretty but we won't be stranded come January - we won't be doing too well but we will see some improvement...

I've a lot of time for.mixu and what he's trying to do.

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: aberdeen 7th November

Hats off young Waffekz.  Decent analysis.  Support great again.  Especially first half when we were decent and dogged.  But I said earlier this week we needed to ensure Hayes did not feed Rooney and hey ho there's what happens.  Also Flood and Jack allowed to run the show.  They do not cause you any problems themselves, but they are the base Aberdeen build on.  Tell you what though, for second top, they are not that much better than us.  But McInnes went down the experience route and McNamara went down the potential route.  The next four games are absolutely vital for us though!  We need to recruit wisely in January, but I'm not in panic mode (yet)! We need to do a mini pre season during the international break though and find a way to be offensive as well as solid at the back.

Great night out in my adopted home city in spite of everything with great posters from the old Mad days.  In future though, I'll ensure that those with pre purchased rail tickets will have them printed out before I leave them to do that for themselves!!!

I'm due you sir.

Was all a ploy though so we could get that pizza and the garlic bread.

We'll need to reconvene and have another sesh when less buckled.

Back in Aberdeen for Foals on Tuesday -might go and have another pizza again -really enjoyed that.

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?
