"Here's to swimmin' with bow-legged women"
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let you all know that I have asked to be taken off as moderator of Tekel Towers, and I want to let everyone know that this was my choice 100%.
Tek and myself have been exchanging PM's behind the scenes about it and he understood that my mind would not be changed on the subject. We left as we were first introduced, on good terms and hopefully he will still buy me that Pepsi Max he promised, and I would buy him a beer in return.
I am very proud of the work I have put into Tekel Towers, but it is only as good as the posters make it, and I have had a blast this past year and a bit talking to you all and getting to know most of you. I could copy and paste the user list and say great things about 99% of you, and to the 1% maybe I have rubbed you the wrong way and you might have misjudged me as I have only tried to be nice and fair to everyone, but I am cool with everyone now from my point of view.
As I have said to Tek, everybody has their flaws, and mine is probably being too sensitive and stubborn. Not a great mix if you are Moderator for the best Dundee United Forum! So I will be signing off after this.
In closing it has been an absolute pleasure, and if you ever see me at a United game please come and say hello

Would just like to publicly thank you Iain for all the support you have given me in running this website since July 2014.
Other than myself NO-ONE else has done more for the site.From arranging Q+A's with your Hero Sieb Dijkstra to running your Movie Competitions and Quizzes to contacting Paul Sturrock at Yeovil FC you have always went the extra mile for this site and I will always be grateful to you for that.
I hope you change your mind about posting as I said to you privately,this Forum would be a sadder place without your presence in some shape or form.

Sorry to hear that Sieb and agree with the sentiments above, you done a damned fine job Sir and always came across as a decent stand up guy and I hope you change your mind about posting again as I for one enjoyed reading ALL of your posts.

Really have to agree with this Sieb. Sorry to hear this. No board can afford to lose good posters like yourself.

Ach just a few strong personalities on here and differences of opinion pure and simple mate.
Running a Forum in the past year with all the politics and turmoil at the club hasn't been easy,with lots of guys who would normally get on great having shall we say 'differences of opinion'.
There's no bad blood and Siebby will always be Welcome on here (as will Stobievulture).
I think the Golden Whistle will possibly be getting retired with Siebby now though.

Hope you keep posting Sieb. Always thought your posts were pretty decent. From my point of view, I dont think there's anybody on here who's posts I dinna like or that I dinna like as a poster. Well naebody that I've come to blows with anyway.
