I hope so. I'll tell you what, if we don't see a response after the way Mixu has went through them yesterday then we never will and we will be in deep, deep fucking shit. (and by response I mean the players giving it a right good go, it doesn't even necessarily mean us winning).

Correct this is now a case of players being thrown in the pool without the armbands ye better get swimming or you'll drown but at least doggy paddle to keep yourself alive would be a start!!

Ross County just beat ICT in the League Cup tonight away from home.

seem the first 30 mins of the game.
boy was unlucky we that shot fae about 35 yards.
not sure how they played the rest of the game.
Very tricky game on sautrday though they have had a very decent start.

We must come out fighting ftom the kick off, no letting them settle in to a rhythm early.
Tough game but winnable if we apply ourselves and defend properly....

There's always the argument of whose responsibility it is, to get who going? The players to get the fans going; or vice versa. Well our players have ZERO confidence just now and it seems that one mistake and they collapse quicker than an English cricket team (like that ane Chainmail ).
Saturday is gonna be tough as they are a big, physical and organised side who are playing with confidence and freedom. Hopefully those occupying home seats Saturday, will see an improvement in commitment and effort from the United players (which would be a start - we have plenty ability, but it is hidden just now) and those supporters that are prone to booing, criticising and moaning at the first available opportunity will cut the players some slack, if they see commitment and effort. As whether we like it or not, these are the players that have the sole responsibility of trying to keep us in touch between now and January. Let's leave the criticism to Mixu and his staff and be that 12th man (or woman if applicable).

We are no longer Dundee United. A more apt name would be Dundee Disjointed!

We're pretty quiet about this one. Maybe folk feel like I do, that it's the same players who will be performing, so what's going to be different?
We need a spark from somewhere, and perhaps fans thought a couple of new faces would have been in the squad this week to give Tannadice a boost.
Maybe this will be the week some of the potential turns to substance on the park, maybe a refereeing injustice will galvanise the players and fans................. maybe every decision will go with us and we'll get an unjustified victory (unlikely).
The factor we certainly have in our favour is time, but each week it is being eaten up.

I was thinking about this.
Maybe sticking with roughly the same side would be better?
Under jackie, it was rotation almost every game.
Think having hte consistency would benefit us, allow partnerships and understandings to be built, allow each player to know what his role is in the system?
Just a thought

Would not disagree AA. Rigid 442 for me to try to get some stability and (bad news I am having to say this at home against Ross County, but) try to sneak something positive; or really positive in the way of points!

We need to set up not to lose we simply must start picking up points before we become cut adrift to the tune of double figures in the points gap!!
Clean sheets are the first thing we need to start achieving then wins will naturally follow on.
Mon United.....

Think Utd will win today 3-2.
Don't know why but i have a feeling we'll play better and dig-out the win in an exciting game.
Simon Murray will score.

This optimism is weird.
Under 2.5 goals I imagine is the bet tomorrow. Looking forward to the Souttars.

Not confident about this at all !!!
My team would be
Zwick
McGowan Dillon Donaldson Robson
Spittal Souttar Rankin Fraser
McKay Taggart/Murray
Robson is a left back, fucking play the laddie, get Durnan to fuck for Donaldson. Spittal right and fraser has to be left as hes all left foot hope fully the laddie can cross a ball. Souttar and Rankin middle.
McKay feeding of whatever and Murray to run around at 100mph to confuse the county defenders
Must be the first time ive ever thought of losing to county

Can't see us getting anything from this, County will bully us and control the midfield.
Think 6/4 for them today is massively overpriced.
Always hope for a win but can't make a case for it today.
Like the look of Offshore's team, with Murray.
Don't see Mixu changing things much.
Doubt we'll get anyone in before January so reckon he'll go for small, step-by-step changes and will wait for any alteration to bed in before he makes another one.
Zwick
Souttar McGowan Durnan Dillon
Would like to see Robson get a game but think he'll wait until Souttar has bedded in at RB before that happens.
Spittal Kuhl Rankin Fraser
Bodul
McKay
This is going to be all about not making mistakes, matching County for effort and hopefully getting a wee bit of luck.
Won't make it today and have the horrible feeling I'll be spending as much time looking out for whats happening to Partick and 'Well as keeping an eye on how we're doing

I don't get why folk are still up for playing thon Durnam, Kuhl and Bodul
Awful

Not a lot of other, viable options tbf - we also need to see if Mixu can get more from the squad he has - I think we'll see changes in a few weeks, just not yet

Wow, didn't see the change of keeper coming, probably the right thing to give Zwick a break but if szromnick doesn't have a good game......
