Did he have any regard for his career and in particular Dundee Utd when he decided to lay into Zaluska? Did he think of his wife and bairn? His mum and dad?

Back to my original point. . . Why not just walk away? Because he fancies himself as a bit o a hard man ah suppose.

It takes a certain kind of person to do what Paton done, and on the flip side,it takes a certain type of person to do the right thing and walk away.

We've had this discussion before J, it's clear we'll never agree on the right and wrongs of how a professional footballer should be conducting himself.

Naebody will ever convince me that assaulting somebody is the best way to resolve things.

Zaluska acted like a prick , but it's Paton that's walked away with a police record for being an even bigger prick. A big 2's up to his employer's and his family.

If the shoe was on the other foot and Paton had shouted 'i want to kill all Tims' and had gotten a crack on the jaw for his troubles i would have said 'och well don't shoot your mouth off then' (and would have wanted him out the club for his comments also btw).

Zaluska gave it the hard man routine outside a boozers and got a wee slap for his troubles.Happens the World over.Maybe a wee lesson for the prick.
