Early season stats

Wouldn't normally pay much attention to stats so early, but with us where we are this STV analysis is more interesting than usual for me.

http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/dundee-united/1331248-five-early-trends-to-be-taken-from-the-201516-premiership-season/

The area I think will surely change for the better is ...

Once we start to feed Mckay better and providing he stays fit.

Re: Early season stats

The lack of creation against Hearts was a bit scary

Re: Early season stats

The set pieces one (both for and against) is bad as well (2nd worst behind Motherwell).

We are fucking chronic just now.

We need a different routine/tactic and taker.
Nae surprise that all the teams with a + free kick scoring ratio are in the top 7 and all with a negative are in the bottom 5.

We've been the same with corners for a while too.

The old repetitive quote of "fine lines" might a been fine if it was in one or two respects but it's not just a case of lacking luck when there's been a negative margin on the majority of our match play. The more you look into what's what and break it down the more you see that we have been bad at everything as you say.

This is not a pop at Mixu. I'm hopeful that he can fix these things and I'm looking at things I wouldn't have dipped my thoughts into before when there was no hope.

What does this indicate?

On the surface, it indicates we are a second half side, but really we haven't scored enough goals for a pattern to emerge yet, and be seen as significant.

Or it shows we haven't scored enough goals when we look at all the figures being divisible by 11.1. We know we don't score enough.

I wondered if it means that we as a team gave up on the managers tactics after 60 ish mins and/or get the finger out and get stuck in when behind or after the damage was done.

Re: Early season stats

I don't remember feeling or reading on any forum that Jackie Mac was ever commended by supporters, online posters or even any media on his tactical behaviours and can't believe that our squad thought much of him in that respect either.
Now that we have a new manager I'm looking at what needs fixed and see its everyfuckingthing! Watched every Mixu interview and I have hope but worry that his support from the board and ST will never be stronger and he must take up offers of strengthening the squad ASAP if possible before that dwindles.
