Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

Assuming Spittal IS suspended I'd go with (5-4-1).

Zwick

Souttar
McGowan
Durnan
Donaldson
Dillon

Connolly
Fraser
Rankin
Murray

McKay

Subs -

Szromnik
Bodul
Taggart
H. Souttar
Telfer
Johnson
Kuhl

As I say I'm struggling to name an XI.

Damage limitation exercise.

probably agree on that starting line up but think celtic if they really want could get 6 or 7 this wknd, scott brown will shite all over our midfield not because he is a great player in fact he is just an ordinary average player but he makes up for that by being a total wanker who would mug his gran to win 3 points for his team

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

We should do a deal to give the Souttar in return for a 1-0 confidence building defeat

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

Not a huge fan of five at the back so would stick with a back four...

Zwick

Souttar
McGowan
Durnan or Morris if fit.....or walking......or breathing
Dillon

Midfield will need to sit back and protect so

Spittal.....if suspended then Telfer
Fraser
Rankin

And keep a front two.....their gonnae have to chase and harry and run a lot so Murray should come into his own there

Murray
McKay

Couldn't even begin to pick a bench....Might as well draw lots.

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

This is worrying.  Celtic or not.  You expect a fight through the side with a new gaffer in.  Fkn sh1te.

"I can't believe how bad United are".

Celtic commentator.

I know it's Celtic, but I think we are away down, really do.  Can't see another scenario.

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

Thank fuck that's over.
Couldn't find a pub that was showing it (and didn't try very hard to find one once the goals started)
Any observations from anyone there?
Looked to be too defensive and giving them too much possession from what I could see online.

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

I didna make the game either. In bed drugged up to phuck. But did watch a stream online.

From what I saw, near every time we took a throw in, Celtic got the ba. Near every time we punted a ball forward, Celtic got the ba. We couldna get the ba, and when we did, wd couldna keep it. When they had the ba in front of our box, they had free reign to do what they like, passing, crosses &c.

No sure if we had more than 2 or 3 attempts on goal.

No sure about the penalty. Was there contact?

Seek for a week. No sure if it's coz of the game or the phuckin flu.

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

The team that Jackie built once again made to look like the utter shitebags they are. Hope mixu gives a good 3/4 of that team + subs the bullet in January. No pace, no vision, no nothing. Absolute shite we need a target man in to hold up that ball, and we're crying out for wingers/ creative players.

You can't play a whole game camped in your on half creating fuck all every week and hope to score goals.
Can't put in to words how much we need width. Is Craig Conway still kicking a ball for someone? Get him in on loan if he can still break into a jog.

Re: Celtic v Utd - Sunday 25th October 3pm

Mixu's thoughts on the match...

Manager Mixu Paatelainen thought Dundee United were "absolutely rubbish" in their 5-0 loss to Celtic.

"Everybody in that dressing room must look in the mirror," Paatelainen told BBC Scotland after his second match in charge.

"It doesn't matter about tactics or shape, if you don't get the basic fundamentals right."

"It doesn't matter what you do on the training ground, if it doesn't happen out there on the pitch," added Paatelainen, who was brought in to replace Jackie McNamara.

"All that goes in the bin!

"No wonder we are where we are. It was so disappointing."

"It's difficult to say if it's a confidence issue," added the exasperated former Finland boss. "I think we just don't realise what we must do.

"We pinpoint the dangers that Celtic will throw at us, we want to make sure that doesn't happen, that we eliminate them.

"But if you are not switched on in certain situations, you are letting good players like Celtic have do what they do best."

"I always knew it was a big job because the team is not playing well," he explained.

"There is plenty to improve on. An unbelievable amount - from defending to attacking.

"We can't tolerate these kind of standards.

"What we can do now is make sure that we every day we do our best. It won't happen in a flash. It will take time because we are low."

Craig Conway is still playing at Blackburn Rovers. Just turned 30 and still getting a run in the team, played over 35 times for them last season I believe.

Mixu's interview on Arabzone is fucking quality. He's well and truly pissed off with the players. Only taken 10 days.

Too much commotion

Thank fuck you threw in the bit about the flu.

I was sitting here thinking oh fuck I've dived into various pubs to numb what was going to happen and here's this really hard core guy who goes all Hunter S Thomson when we're playing the Sellik........

The "What's the point in fucking training" part says the most.

Won't be surprised if he's banging on the chairman's door first thing in the morning.
He knows we need players in fast.
