Although I love flair players and goal scorers, I've always always had more of a liking for the grafters, the unassuming steady Eddie's, the boys with passion, the guys who never hide but don't seek the limelight. The Malpas's, Kirkwood's,and Narey's of old. Guys who appreciated the fact that they played at this level and never took it for granted. Today, the 3 senior players for us(Dillon, Rankin, and McGowan), showed more grit and determination than the rest put together. They put the young boys to shame if truth be told.
Talent and natural ability is only a small part of being a professional footballer, attitude and desire is EVERYTHING.
I would suggest a few of them have a good fkn look at themselves. The pop stars can fk off if they think they are better than Utd. We don't want or need you.
We need 14/15 battlers just now, but unfortunately, it looks like we only have 3 or 4.
C'mon to fk Utd, time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves.

Today McGowan and Rankin
Rankin was fucking superb actually -he was playing alongside utter fucking garbage though.
Dillon gives his all, every game and that is why the fans love him but his all -was fucking pish today

And the sad fkn part of that is, we have a natural goal scorer there with mckay, but what can he dae we the absolute pish that he's playing we.
Dare I say it, but big Brian Graham and Mckay would have been a decent partnership imo. Mckay needs help.

Brian (no good enough to play at the level) Graham?

Ernemenko is out of contract

Eremenko is not what we need
Good player -but tows caravans round the North of england
In hindsight he's got arm tattoos so maybe get game -that's the prospect

Eremenko was a terrific player 5 years ago but is not what we need now.
We need to do what Tommy McLean and build the spine of the team with 4 winners like he did with Dijkstra,Pedersen,Zetterlund and Olofsson.
These players also preferably need height because we have none.
Could have 20 corners a match and never threaten.

The 3 Scandinavians+Sieb transformed us Eddy. But there were top players like Malpas,Pressley,McInally,Mclaren,McSwegan.Winters already there.
We were in even deeper shite under Alex Smith and he managed to bring Derek Lilley and utter quality like Charlie Miller and there were also boys like Jim McIntryre there.A guy who was not only a right good forward but also a man,not a kid.
Right now i honestly see very little mate,i'm gutted to say that.We have no height,no pace,no leaders,no desire,no fighters,little experience...nothing.
I think we honestly need about 6/7 players.and need to move on about 10 (we shipped on 16 in the Summer mind).
What a mess Sir Eddy.

Totally agree guys this team is full of young laddies who have been sold a promise of you come and play here we'll be shipping you out to the EPL or Celtic in two years time. They don't give a shite about the club or the fans all they want is to get a golden ticket out the door.
Well listen up you fuckers, we've sold the main talent in the team and you can't just come in and think you can stroll about and look fancy on the ball, you've got to fight for everything and if you don't want to then fuck off you !!
Be interested to see what Dillon and Rankin are like in the dressing room, bet their not having boys by the throat giving them a boot up the arse that they are needing.
The more this goes on the more i'm becoming certain we are going down

Therein lies the problem tbh.Even the experienced players we have Dillon,Rankin,Erskine,Morris etc are all 'nice' lads.I've said it so many times on here that i'm sick of saying it now but we really need some nasty bastards in the team like your Lee Wilkie's,Darren Dods,Barry Robson's etc etc.
Only player we have with a nasty streak is Paton.
Manager's tend to build teams that mirror them and jackie has built a team of nice quiet boys who are all softly-spoken and don't look in anyway equipped for the Dogfight we've been drawn into.
This is why i and others on here and elsewhere were so vocal against McNamara and Thompson at times,it was sadly so inevitable that this is the way the team were going.
I can only wish Mixu all the best of luck. He's going to need it.

Would agree with that TEK. Over the last forty years( minus Leveins teams) United have been soft touches. We have always been short of the real hard players, Tom Forsyth, John Grieg, Roy Aitken, Danny McGrain(end of career), Willie Miller, Neale Cooper we would have more than 5 honours with a few of them in our side. How would some of the lieghtwieghts in our team cope against that lot?
