Just been on with the old man, blames ST for the entire thing. Says you can't set yourselves up as a shop window and then expect your coaching staff/players to show passion for your club.
Thinks we are down because none or few of them players today are up for a fight to keep our club up, or even care. Had some pretty choice things to say about Souttar, reckons there'll be no more interest south of the border.
He's a negative bastard at times but think he has it about right.

I am no fan of Thompson after that dark monday in February but even if we kept armstrong and GMS they would still not be at Tannadice now.
The deal he got for Ciftci was great giving the situation he (Ciftci) was in.
The state of the club just now lays at the door of McNamara, but having said that Thompson should have sacked him in May then gave the budget to whoever took over then.

Have the feeling that we're paying the price for the bonus scheme.
Nothing wrong with bringing thorough young talent or plucking gems from lower divisions or from Euro players who have lost their way - problem is you can't fill an entire squad with them.
I have some sympathy with ST in that simply incentivising a top six finish gives rise to risk averse team management/selection but (with hindsight) it looks as though JM forgot to get the basics right going in search of the next hidden gem.
