Taggart looks a poor player to me,hardly touched the ball and was never in a good position to receive a pass.was always within 5 yards of a Hearts shirt.

I honestly don't think any of these guys can partner McKay successfully.

One thing that seems to be missing is players making runs off the ball to draw defenders and make space for McKay

You don't need to be Lionel Messi to do that

I grant you that none of our other forwards look great (or even decent tbh) but given McKay's quality we might get away with someone whose prepared to do some thankless running to create space for him.

Also take your point re McKay at ICT hunted but they were good at getting other players beyond/wide - I think McKay is left in a Ciftci loan forward type roll for us and doesn't have the physicality to hold off other players the way nads did

Bodul and Murray are eye wateringly bad.

Bodul today -well that is not football, seriously poor.

I agree he didna do a lot but he did have a go, and had a no bad nearie 2nd half.
