I still think he's a centre half tbh. It's shocking that we didn't sign an experienced centre half, like Webster or Wilkie, to help him. No wonder he wants to leave. Bet he wishes he left for Sunderland.

Spot on, could be the best CM in Scotland in a few years, but if he wants to progress beyond Scotland CH is where he should be playing.

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

It's a disgrace that we never brought in a good experienced CH. Aberdeen brought Anderson back. We paired him with Gunning (halfwit), Fojut (slow and couldn't speak English), Dillon (nice guy but has his faults) and Morris (boy making step up from lower leagues). He's been let down badly by the management of the club. Hope he gets a good move

Get shot.

Don't mind players with a Billy Big Balls attitude if they have earned it -he has done the sum total of fuck all for this club.

Goodbye.

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?

Don't think we have an option on getting shot tbh. He'll just leave. Don't think his perceived attitude has helped but the management have let him down as well IMO

End of day he's just a laddie and I hope he gets a good move

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

Made my thoughts clear about Souter a few days ago in another post. Basically heed in the clouds thinks he's a world beater but isn't close to being a player yet or will ever be if his current attitude towards the game doesn't change. We'll get compo but he'll not be missed overly IMO

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

Mixu making it clear that passion, intensity and hard grit are the qualities he wants to lay his foundations. No doubting Souttars technical ability, but I'm sure he is one who will have to show extra graft on the pitch for the full 90 minutes. Hopefully Mixu will push him on to another level.

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

ST in the Hun today saying the deal offered would make him the second highest paid player at the club if accepted.

Imo they don't expect him to sign it but iirc any deal offered is taken into account if it goes to a tribunal

Yeah, is it not the case that the club has to make an improved contract offer to get compensation?

Old news this. Deal was offered ages and was knocked back.

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

Yep, it's old news.

If the Record were in any way interested in United they would have known and wouldn't have asked the question.

It's only because the Govan tribute act are after him that they suddenly need to know.

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

Also now in the Courier - the contract situation is indeed old news, but not I think the level of wages offered?

Ot but ST also stating wrt the squad "we are limited to what we can do in January...but obviously we will have to bring one or two people in"

Changing his tune a bit there

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

I'd imagine if Celtic offer in the region of 300k-400k we'll take that if they offer in Jan. as for Sevco with all their court woes ATM I doubt they'll be offering anything

Re: The Rangers After John Souttar

This is just Zombie shit talk!

Sure the Sevco interest is more inflammatory or revengeful than serious.

They've not got over us dooming them, kicking them when they were down as they claim. Throw in pinching Charlie Telfer and there's a 'real' situation to level. Whatever comes of this, even the worst case scenario woulna  hurt us anywhere near what they hope and wish for.

Anyway, just mair Zombie shite!

I think I mentioned a while ago the level of contract he was getting offered.  Not that it matters now anyway unfortunately.  I think there's a player there but it seems as though he lost interest under previous manager.
