Might be bollocks but have heard (from 2 different people for each rumour).
1.Utd will appoint a Director of Football to work above Mixu.No names mentioned just that the person isn't Scottish.
2.Mixu has been in touch with an ex-Utd Goalie to come in as Goalkeeping coach.I won't say who it is but let's just say one of our forum members will be beside himself with happiness if the move goes ahead.
1. If true, hopefully he was involved in the recruitment of Mixu and that he is someone that Mixu respects
2. That would be amazing!

Bet it's Guido Van Der Kamp though
Just kidding, I love Guido too!
Online!
I wouldn't be too disappointed about a director of football. It's the future of football IMO, at least to a certain degree. There are very few professional sports that allow the 'head coach' to have complete control over signings and club policy such as a manager does in football.
As long as there is a mutual respect between the parties involved it tends to work well. Southampton are a prime example of it.
Obviously the post above is an English example, interesting read though if this is what DUFC are ultimately aiming to replicate.

Multiple times in his interview he talks about "we" know what this club means and what it's all about.
Mixu, Sieb and Bo dream team?
Ken they were years apart but imagine the scenes if Erik came back as his assistant...

Bo being a former team mate and a midfielder who won the ball back to feed him as well as a trusted incite towards current goings on and who's for the future surely stakes a claim to be involved in some respect.

Looks like Colin Meldrum is getting lined up for the GK coaching gig according to this mornings Courier.
Ach well, probably for the best as it would interfere with the big man's successful part time career

Gordon Young confirmed as Assistant Head Coach....
Dundee United today confirmed Gordon Young as Assistant Head Coach until June 2018.
Gordon who was previously International Academy Manager at Sheffield United and Academy Director at Motherwell joins Mixu Paatelainen ahead of Sunday’s clash with Hearts.
“It is a great privilege to work for Dundee United. I am looking forward to working with Mixu and the challenge here of helping Dundee United develop the players to the standard the supporters appreciate and expect.”
Experience. ..
