I'll be happy just to stay up.
The new manager will need to be given time, so whilst I'd love to have cup aspirations, the immediate priority for the man in the hot seat will be avoiding relegation. Some may think differently, perhaps the season is recoverable if the new boss hits the ground running, but I'd honestly say that just staying up is now where we are. In less than a year we've gone from Rado, bless him, getting 'We can win the treble' headlines to being a mess. Sad times for our fine football club.

At the moment anywhere out of the bottom two for me! Still think with some new training ideas and a little ass kicking we can push up towards mid table and anything close to Hampden for a semi would be superb

All depends on whether we manage to rebuild the team. I'm sure the new boss will be a stronger personality and better tactician than Jackie whoever we appoint.
I expect we'll finish between 6th and 11th. I expect it will be our worst season for a long time.
I hope we get a cup run and a couple of big match victories to cheer us up. What happens v the dee will define the season more than league placing for me.

At this juncture our only aim is not to finish in the bottom two, our squad is really underwhelming and it is a scandal JM was allowed to amass such a young and poor quality group of players.
We really need points on the board ASAP but when you see the next three games we may be a bit isolated after those games, once you are down there it is extremely difficult to get out of the mire and lady luck normally desserts struggling teams.
Our next manager MUST be a MOTIVATOR and TACTICALLY ASTUTE if we are to climb the table.

Staying up and at least a day out at Hampden, plus and including no cup exits to lower league teams.

Expectation is to get away to phuck from the bottom ASAP.

Staying up is the 1st target now, depending on injuries and how quick the new guy can sort the obvious on the park problems then top 6 is still an outside shot, we ain't that far behind.

Top 6 minimum and hope for a cup win.
10 points from 6th with 28 games to go.
If we truly believe that Jackie was the main problem then that isn't a big gap to make up.
Celtic, Aberdeen, Hearts, St Johnstone will be top 4, then us and Dundee should make up the top 6.
Massive financially if we do this.

Good ain. Nae danger were making top 6.

Jackie was utterly clueless but his legacy is the young inexperienced squad and there is no guarantee that the new man will be able to turn them in to a winning team that quickly, it will take 2/3 transfer windows to repair all the damage done IMO
Top 6 this season would be miraculous

If there's "no danger" we can make up 1point on Partick, 4 on Killie, 5 on Motherwell, and up to 10 on shree of Ross Co, Inverness, Dundee and Hamilton in 28 games, when we'll play them all at least twice then we are truly fucked.
I think we'll finishing 5th and win the league cup.
I've also been drinking pretty heavily for 11 days now though tbf.

Out of the bottom two is priority but if we can get some confidence and momentum going we should be pushing towards top 6.
The teams above us aren't unbeatable and they've had their win against us, it's payback time.

Can't see it. We are shite. Thought our squad was ok. It's not. Our defence isn't good enough

Agree wi this. Unless the new gaffer can immediately turn around the defence before January, assuming he even gets any money in January, we're not going to make Top 6. Even if he does out creative players and strikers have hardly been firing on all cylinders, minus Billy Mckay perhaps.
We could still get top 6 but it'd take some amount of luck, right now consolidating our place in the premiership has to be our aim.

If McKay doesn't play where do the goals come from?
Dow? Good ain
