Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

Boy on Mad (I know!)  says Badger. That would do me. Failing that I voted for Hughes.

Too much commotion

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

As I said on the Hughes thread the fact that we seem to waiting until McCall's business with Scotland is over it looks like he will get the job.

I may be reading too much into it though.

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

It's looking like McCall sadly, the fact he bailed out because Motherwell were in the shit is giving me the fear.

I have no problem with the hun connection its purely the fact he didn't fancy a relegation battle

Absolutely correct.

Either he bailed out on Motherwell leaving them in the shite so he could take over at the fake plastic huns......or....

He gave up at 'Well cos he didn't think he could keep them up.....some have said this is honourable.....it may well be but it gives me no confidence that he'd keep us up....

I think so too.

I think Hughes would be a brilliant appointment for the comedy value alone.

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

Whoever it is will get my backing, but I've no doubt there will be disappointed supporters no matter which choice the board makes.

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

I don't think anyone has a clue.  I'll be proper dissapointed if hughes is announced tomorrow.

Maybe he'll be on enough money to sort them gnashers out though.  They match our fucking shirt them.

Saw jim Spence had laughed at suggestions it's hughes but he can be cryptic like.

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

I hope it's Hughes, if it's a choice between him and McCall I think he would be by far the better motivator.

We don't give a damn what the others say
We'll cheer on United all the way
For we are the Terrors of Tannadice

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

I really haven't got a clue, nor do I have a favourite anymore. Every candidate listed has pro's and con's, who ever it is will get my support, hell of a job they will have in front of them.

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

I'm totally underwhelmed if it's Yogi tbh.

Don't get me wrong he's done a great job at Inverness but i feel he inherited a good team from Terry Butcher.

He just doesn't feel like a right fit for Utd.But i hope i'm wrong and i wish him all the best if he's appointed.

Re: Managerial Shoot-Out!!

In the last two years.

Beat Celtic in a Scottish semi in Glasgow.
Beat Hearts in a league cup semi final in Edinburgh.
Lost the league cup final on penalties.
Won the Scottish Cup.
Finished one point behind Jackie's superstars greatest ever United team ever ever in his first season.
Finished 3rd with one of the smaller budgets in the league in his second.
Won cup and league in lower division with Falkirk.
Won Manager if the year in Scotland last season.

With Inverness. Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

We're Dundee United, with two or three times the budget and I'd take what he's sone at Inverness.

I'm well up for this if he gets the gig, shree points at home. Nap.
