Any cunt fancy naming them all, I'm struggling TBH.

I cannae name them all, but there's 29 in the 1st team squad and 18 in the Development squad. (which = 47, so no idea who the other 4 are).

Probably 4 uni students who just turn up for training and nobody's noticed yet!
Seriously that's my point Billy, they don't all need to train together, should only be the 29, some of whom are already out on loan, then the rest in the afternoon, don't think it's massively different number wise to any other club in the spfl

It isn't.
All Premier sides have anywhere between 25-40 First team players and 15-25 Developement lads.
As said above we have a good few out on loan too.

Just seems to be an awful lot getting made of it from some fans, the chairman and now coaching staff too, it's probably 4/5 too many but if it's fairly normal, why all the fuss?

The Chairman and southern both said it was far too much and would need to be reduced to bring costs down.

It is far too much. What's the point in having a dev squad if you have 25-40 first team players? When will the dev team every step up?
I think we should have 22 first team players and 18 dev team players MAXIMUM, you've then got dev team players that step up to the bench for the first team when we've got 5 or 6 injuries and the same happens with the 16's squad, they step up to the dev team when required.

It is too much but end of the day a lot of those players wont be getting their contracts renewed or will be leaving end of season i would imagine.
Kuhl Taggart Bilate Mckay Dow McGowan Souttar. Are all players whos loan or contract is up by next summer IIRC. Thats just aff the top of my head, probably a good 5/6 others plus youth team players deemed not good enough will also be let go.
EDIIT: Rankin, Connolly, Morris also out of contract though according to transfermarkt

Between Tek's leveller to the worries on the squad size being relative and the freak out fae most of us that the previous management team built an unusually large combined squad I think there's been an overreaction.
Easy to agree that formulas are flawed right now or equally good in the past when we were in a different place..
Everything is as fucked up as it's going to be and we are not all of a sudden right although that's easy to believe right now.
