Loved the earlier series of this and couldn't wait for new series to start. Have to say though that this has been the biggest bag o shite I've watched. Dreadful stuff.

Ken. Part 1 the Madchester night was really well done and you start to see signs of Kelly's life spiralling.
Part 2 the disastrous attempts to find a rave, admittedly played for laughs which as you realise is no bad thing because the last 15 mins is utterly shocking with what happens to Kelly and the flashbacks you see for Kelly and Trev of Kellys dad.
Part 3 the threads set in the film and 1986 finally start to be confronted due to Combo's release and everyone has a reason to be angry/devastated. The acting throughout, but particularly the dinner table sequence was incredible. I like the way Shauns feelings about his dads death in the Falklands is gradually being touched on as well. Thats going to be important tomorrow as of course will the inevitable Lol/Kelly and Milky/Combo confrontations.
Who was Milky talking to on the phone????? All bets are off.
I can't wait for the finale!

Thoughts on the final episode then? Brilliant for me.

An absolute rollercoaster of emotions. It didn't go for a full blown ott set of confrontations which was good too, had some laugh out loud funny moments as well. That, by Combo's end you felt really bad for him is a masterpiece in itself. Fantastic.
Oh and the biggest shock was actually that Kelly decided to sort herself out by the end. The scenes with Lol at the end would bring tears to a glass eye.

It's always hard to sign-off such an epic series.
I was left feeling a bit unsatisfied about it all somehow (though there were moments of brilliance in the last episode).
I didn't like the fact that Milky was left with all that guilt and regret left on him for the rest of his life,it felt an injustice somehow that that's how it played out, that and the fact that Combo had genuinely turned out a changed man.
The kelly car-crash seemed a bit odd to me too.
One moment she's doing smack and screaming at Gadge (think he's called) on the park bench and acting like a bitter wee cunt and then next scene we see her she's off the smack and all is forgiven...it seemed a bit of a rushed conclusion to me.
The final scenes at the wedding with 'Berlin song' playing over it was very emotional stuff though.
Agree there was some funny moments too (the fight between Lol's crazy lesbo mum and Woody's Readers Digest reading Mum was FAF).
I feel empty now it's all over tbh.

Yup to all of that- I particularly felt that the Kelly story was unconvincing, but am so prepared to forgive that because the whole project has been wonderful and the cast brilliant. Can't think of anything else which could compare to this, from film to spin-off to conclusion. Would love to see another series but hope they don't. Quit while you're ahead, which this fabulous piece of work still is (in spite of my minor gripes! ) And in spite of the relatively small part he had in this series, I still think Stephen Graham is one of the finest actors I've ever seen.
