A positive thread

After seeing, and hearing, a barrel load of negativity this week eh've decided to make a positive thread where any cunt with something good to say can post up.

Thats no a dig at folk btw, Eh'm under nae illusion as to how bad we are, and how bad we've been. However eh've got to say eh'm still a wee bit optimistic looking forward.

Genuinely believe that any sort of good manager with a bit of know how and man management can still take this team to the top 6 if he gets a lot a luck on top. If we can start by learning to fucking defend before we do anything else, like Levein showed was the right way during his tenure, then we definitely have a base to build on here.

No idea how our finances are these days, heads minced reading all the different figure, but if we can give the new gaffer some sort of budget in January to bring in a experienced centre half who can organise a defence, a pacey winger or 2, and maybe even a goalkeeper depending on your opinion (think Zwicks confidence is near breaking point). We can still hae bigger ambitions than avoiding relegation when shite like Partick and Accies are in the league.

Get it sorted United, still plenty talent in this side in the shape of Mckay, Fraser, and at least a couple of others. Need to get the right defensive shape, and maybe more importantly, a bit of fucking dig about us and we'll rise up the table yet.

Shed Rule, either that or eh've had too many fucking bottles of Kronenberg.

Re: A positive thread

I think Rankin has stood up the last couple of weeks and knocked his cunt in.

Well done to him -he's been swimming in sea of shite around him.

Oh, what came of the things we once believed?

Re: A positive thread

I think we are gonna have to ride out this storm till say about Christmas time regardless of who comes into the Dug-out.

BUT

Once guys like Dixon,Paton and Erskine can start coming back into the squad (with hopefully a couple of other experienced players added in January) then hopefully we can start kicking on bigtime in the 2nd half of the season.

We really need to make sure we don't get detached in the meantime though.

Oh and the other main positive for me is the breakthrough of Scott Fraser who i think looks a real gem.

Re: A positive thread

I think it's easy to forget that we've left Tannadice a good few times this season talking about how we'd played good football but just hadn't managed to get the win.

Of course it's all about results and we haven't got them. But the season hasn't been as abject and desperate as it now feels.

A confidence boost and I still think this squad can get back on track.

This annoys me. Seems to get away with everything. Absolutely awful again on Saturday - second goal. Oh you fucker.

Our squad is awful and we are relying on McKay until January

Re: A positive thread

The new manager will be a hundred times more tactically aware than dopey, that is the biggest positive for me.

It may take until December but I am certain the ship will be turned around.

Re: A positive thread

Think we just need to hang in there until January when hopefully we can so some whealing and dealing.  Hopefully the new guy can come in and sort us out defensively so that we stop shipping so many goals so even if we don't win many, we don't lose as many either.

I've trying to be positive, things can change relativley quickly in football.  Look at the state of Ross County last season after the first quarter of games.  I'm also thinking back to season 2000/01 when we were adrift until Alex Smith came in and sorted us out with some astute signings.
