If he wasn't a Utd fan from Dundee we wouldn't even be discussing him tbh.
Actually a very good manager, but I do think there's a couple of better options.

Don't agree with this at all TEK, why do you say that?
Four great years with Lochee United winning trophy after trophy and getting to the third round proper of the Scottish Cup and only losing to Ayr in a reply.
Taking a shite Brechin side to the play offs and a 50% win ratio and a number of manager of the month awards.
65% win ratio in his short time in Kirkcaldy already, not been in full time football management long granted but Levien done no bad after three months at Raith then coming to United.
I think it's always a good guage of a manager to look at how their team does after they leave, in Jackie's case I predict we'll get better and in Ray's case they always perform worse.
You can only perform at the level where you're given that opportunity, Ray hasn't got any top flight and very little full time management experience but I think it's wrong to suggest he's only a candidate because he's Dundonian.

I'd be totally underwhelmed with him.
Winning a couple of trophies at Lochee and taking Brechin into play offs isn't enough to inspire me that he'd be the man to take us forward tbh.

It could be risky but I'd go for Andy Webster, knows the club, can organise a defence, has already managed us to a trophy.
Plus he is north of the Tay.
I never even thought of that. I think you could be on to something here.

Dillon? Seriously?
Did you get a knock on the head?

Dillon as assistant if only to stop him playing, that has potential.

Why not, already knows the players well and is club captain. Plus he has been finishing up his coaching badges. If I was the new manager coming in I would want him on the staff to help and advise, just to make the transition easier.
Hope Bowman gets kept on as well for the exact same reasons as above.

I've said Mixu for a while but have to say I've been really impressed by everything Jim McIntyre has done since he started in Management.
If we're going to spend a reported £400k on sacking the current team I don't think we'll spend much in the way of compo on a replacement, which would rule a few out.
I would like Mixu, McIntyre, Hughes or most of all Wright, the latter three outwith iur budget perhaps.
Although it might be 6 months too early without a full season of full time football behind him the job Ray McKinnon has done at Lochee United, Brechin and Raith deserves consideration imo.
To add a random name that some won't know and no one else had mentioned as far as I know...
Eddie Wolecki Black as head coach under a DoF...
FWIW Mixu was at the Dunfermline game.

Whilst he has the armband, Dillon is not a captain. He can't motivate himself or the players around him. Can't see him being any more than a coach.

Will agree to disagree then Macho.
WOOOOOOOO!!!

Doubt we will but I really hope we don't go for a dodgy foreign appointment. Need a strong hand and a bit of experience to guide us out of the trouble we're in just now.
Folk probably sick of hearing this from me but has to be Stuart McCall IMO, been wanting him in charge for months. Worked wonders at a poor, ageing Motherwell side that had nae dough and nae youth system. Think he would do well At Tannadice.

Utd could put Peter Tobin in charge tomorrow and I'd still be happier than I was at 4:45pm yesterday.

From the list of realistic candidates McCall is the only one with a track record in the SPL. We need a manager who can make immediate improvement. JM has left such physically weak team that a relegation battle looks inevitable.

You've crossed the line. That was Miss Elizabeth trying to persuade that snake to get in the ring with me so I could put to rest all these uneducated comments that he was a wrestler. He couldn't lace my boots or tie my bandana.

I voted other (Andy Webster) but would be happy with Stuart McColl.
Realistically we need someone who knows the premier and has a few years under their belt.
We've taken a chance on young pups from the lower leagues and got burnt too many times, we need an older fiddle.
Benson must be in her sixties now and has been around the block more times than Debbie Marr.

Can't understand why she has been outta the game for so long.
Blog on link below suggesting George Burley as Director of Football with Elvis as manager (also suggests Elivis not keen to return to Scotland).
Have to say it seems highly unlikely but I guess if ST wants to spend more time upside down then Southern runs the business side and A N Other the fitba side....looked at like that it's not beyond the realms of possibility.
