As has been told before this is the guy who pursued 50K fae Thistle when Archie took them up 5 months after Jackie left.  And who squeezed every last penny out of the Sheep.  Just be thankful he's been relieved of his duties at the very least.  Wondering if this is coz the word on the radio at lunchtime is that Mixu has been interviewed for the Well job?
 

The BBC lad who interviewed Simon Donnely seemed convinced too. It's like all the media guys at the match have had their questions answered off air and unofficially. Media seem sure he is gone, just nothing official.

Absolutely bud.  Fek knows what's written into their contracts for this instance though. ST has sown himself to be guarded in loosing money recently and we've had some bad surprises in that respect.

Hopefully he has been as inventive when/if inserting failure clauses into contracts as as he was to include the reward structures that most of us didn't like.
Have a feeling things might be somewhere in between our worries and reality bud.

That's one manager though.

I meant they should have fucking walked.

All wealthy men who can have some future in the game still (management,coaching,punditry,columns,agent for players etc) yet are sitting tight to ensure they get every penny due to them despite raking in hundreds of thousands from Utd for delivering NO TROPHIES and NO EUROPEAN QUALIFICATION even.

Absolutely fucking shameless stuff.

Stuart McCall finished 3rd...2nd...2nd with Motherwell who have about half our budget (also took them to Scottish Cup Final and 2 other Semi's).Had to lose (yet again) all his best players in Summer of 2013/14 with no money for replacements and despite the season only being about 3 months old decided that he wasn't producing a team worthy of Motherwell FC in his book.So what did he do?He walked away and let someone else have a shot.

Yeh TEK bang on the money, but I was reading plenty comments elsewhere on social media, to give them nothing etc etc, so not directed at you, as I assumed you'd know.  McCall is about the only manager in the history of futba that has done the honourable thing and walked voluntarily, but the cynic in me believes he did so with one eye on taking over at Aye Brokes.  The lesson from this is that a Dundee United Manager only ever needs a one year rolling contract, as if a success with us, we are not going to be able to keep them.

My biggest concern though is that personal attacks are continuing against the Chairman, even though he has done what most of us wanted.  I'm not particularly enamoured by the Chairman just now either, but it's time for a truce and hopefully a decent managerial appointment.  My next concern is the vast array of suggestions of potential successors, from the sublime to the ridiculous and all the "no he's a Hun basssa, Tim chunt" etc comments and I'm left thinking we're still potentially gonna be divided.  I've got no idea who would be best for us!  Is it too much to ask that whoever gets the job, can we just concentrate on supporting the team for the rest of this season?

 I thought McCall walked to line the way to manage The Rangers. He would have known what was happening, but did what he did to make people think it was integrity.
