St.Johnstone v Utd - Saturday 26th September (3pm)

Another visit to McDiarmid to play against the team who by and large have had our number to a depressing extent over the past 3 years.

I would like the team that starts to be.

.........................Zwick......................
McGowan.....Morris...Durnan...Dillon
..............Souttar......Rankin..............
........Spittal......Fraser....Bodul.........
........................McKay.....................

Subs -
McCallum
Murray
Taggart
Dow
Connolly
Telfer
Kuhl

Would take a draw.

Robson over the joke Dillon.

Don't really fancy Bodul on the wing again. Plays well for fifteen minutes. We have literally nothing down the right. Pain in the arse. Can we not have wonder kid develop there please?

Although by all accounts Robson had a good debut the other night St.Johnstone away is a big ask of the lad.

Don't have huge faith in Dillon that said.Left Back really is a position we struggle at these days.

There is no way Robson should be thrown in again in saturday, that would be utter madness.

I like your team TEK

Is Donaldson injured?

Rather him there than Durnan.

Hoping the same Fooky T.

Most half decent squads that have a long bad spell even up over time.

3 excuses i don't want to hear tomorrow post-match

1.We were a bit tired after Tuesday night and 120 minutes of football
2.We weren't brave enough on the ball
3.They were more physical than us

If any of these are concerns to the Manager tonight he has to change the team accordingly.

But that takes away his comfort blanket and his ability to deny a negative result was at least partly his fault - even though the 120 minutes of torture, I mean football on Tuesday was already at least partly his fault.

The manager is a spoofer. He talks a good game but it's all wind and pish. He doesn't know the game nearly as well as he'll have us believe. He's ridden his luck on the coat-tails of some fantastic talent that was already at the club, but now he has brought in his own players he's been found out, big time.

I don't know whether to dislike the guy or feel sorry for him. His stock is rock bottom and he won't walk as he wont pick up another job very easily now.

I heard a story that he didn't expect to be at United this long as he genuinely expected to be poached by a bigger club. So much so that he sold McGowan a move to United with a promise that by the end of last season Jackie will take McGowan with him to whatever club he ended up at. This allegedly came from McGowan himself

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

He shouldn't have to change a team to address all of that.  These are attitude adjustments.  This type of game is where you need to be man manager.

They had a game midweek too.

Re: St.Johnstone v Utd - Saturday 26th September (3pm)

I'm not going. 5 week month but tbh can't be arsed spending money on diesel, admissions for me and the wee man and food to see us get bullied by them yet again.

Too much commotion

I'm not going because I mind going to Perth for a League game again after I went a few years ago on a Monday night and it was 23 quid and on the telly.

Yeah yeah Industrial Estate

Would be somebody like Kuhl's 4th game in 12 days or something.

So things like that would have to be taken into account BEFOREHAND,not after the fact,is what i was getting at RRDH.

Re: St.Johnstone v Utd - Saturday 26th September (3pm)

0-1 Utd.

Mannus sent off and O'Halloran subbed as a sacrificial sub.

If that doesn't give us impetus to push on and win well NOTHING will.

Re: St.Johnstone v Utd - Saturday 26th September (3pm)

Different type of team talk required.  Stay composed, don't let them drag us into a red card, no daft free kicks around the box.

A goal kills this off and their toys come out the pram.

Plus we've some good options on the bench to stretch them as they get tired
