Re: Press conference tomorrow

Something to do with ST handing over the reigns could be a possibility right?  It'll be either one of those things.

Will say a couple prayers before bed tonight.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

No basis for this, but think it will be announcing Campbell is away, ST is fully committed to United and remaining as chairman and a vote of confidence for Jackie.

Basically worse case scenario. Anything else is a bonus

Re: Press conference tomorrow

Reckon they'll be announcing the go ahead for the safe standing section at Newcastle Jets home ground.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

Or it could be the announcement of the roof going over The GA arena.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

Or maybe the date of the ST holders q and a will be given.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

It'll be for Campbell getting the heave.  Hope he tells them to stick their confidentiality clause up their arse and spills the beans on what the fuck is going on in the club just now.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

It was reported last week that Steve Campbell outcome was this week, joke if he goes and the fans should pile pressure on the club about this outrage.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

You wouldn't call a press conference to announce that a manager or a director of youth football has been sacked, would you?

To announce replacements maybe but not for a sacking I wouldn't have thought?

Re: Press conference tomorrow

quiz question

Which football coach told a friend of his on the day he was suspended "I've been sacked not suspended"?

Thats what I thought Andy.  Have a feeling it will be that & a statement completely backing the manager.  Hope I am wrong.

Andy, more I think about this the more I reckon this is board room related.  As you say, wouldnt make sense to have a press conference on a sacking.  (Sorry for 3 str8 posts, back to work)

Re: Press conference tomorrow

You wouldn't announce a sacking over a press conference.

It will either be IMO

1).Thompson is moving to Oz and a new Chair is being announced.

or

2).McNamara has departed by 'mutual consent' and we are announcing his succesor (probably short-term caretaker).

I would love it to be both, but probably wishful thinking.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

I didn't collect my ticket from the Ticket Office on Saturday. Apparently it was the last one for the GF Upper Stand. I got another from my mate instead.Could be they want to make a public announcement about this?

Let's hope he's away.

If it's stevie that's away then don't think the stands will be a happy place on Saturday.

Re: Press conference tomorrow

Seemingly its just the standard weekly press conference, business as usual?
