Billy Hainey just pointed out that project that form over the season would leave us on 21.7 points.
Fuck me and there are still fans who back him.
That's relegation form pure and simple.

Simple arithmetic rather than rocket science Tek.
At the point of the draw with the Dees it was 50.6 points. Then it has steadily dropped from then on. Eg.
After defeat to Accies - 38
After defeat to Smeltic - 30.4
After defeat to County - 25.3
After defeat to Killiemanjaro - 21.7
Don't shoot the messenger.

I am assuming he means from the fans perspective of having him as manager!!

Could I ask Tek if he wants to add this running stat ( Projected Points for the Season ) to his statistics thread. Or I could just prolong this thread.
BTW this is what it looks like for next week.
Projected Points for the Season:-
If we beat Icy Tea - 33.25
If we draw we Icy Tea - 23.75
If we lose - 19

Out of interest and playing the Advocate of the Devil, what does everyone think the financial cost to The Club would be at this point of (presumably) terminating the contracts of 1x Manager; 2x Assistants and 1x Goalkeeping Coach to the nearest £50,000?
And as this is real life and not a computer game, where is that money going to come from, ie would you still happily get rid even if this has to come out of the playing budget for a replacement management team until the summer of 2017?
Come on, don't be shy, roll up, roll up and state your case.....
Come on now, don't be shy.........

Minimum of 500k.Then you add to that the fact that if we sell any more players before his contract runs out we potentially still need to give him a cut of that.
Where's the money coming from?Now there's a good question.
Jackie+Co have our head over a barrel and well they know it.

If we cut back on first class air fares that will help

Let's be fair here, relegation is looking like a very real possibility, 500k is pennies compared to the prospect of possibly several seasons in the first division. With Jackie in charge I genuinely do fear relegation, and the stats back me up.
Time to cut our losses. 500k out the playing budget can be negated with the sale of 1 player (being very optimistic here) if we can get playing well again. We'll get compo for Souttar at end of the season if nothing else, plus we saved 250k (ish) on loaning Mckay instead of buying so we obviously have a few quid lying about.
It's a lot of money make no mistake, but a drop in the ocean of what several years in the championship could do.

THIS.
Has me absolutely Tom Dick. Cant see a single scenario where this ends with him being shown the door.
Tell you what though, ive no problem whatsoever with the support having a go at him AFTER the game. Id be giving him and his mates absolute f ucking pelters at this stage. Absolutely fed up eh.

That's the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM figure I had in mind too TEK. And who in their right mind is going to want to come in financially hamstrung for over a season and a half?
Our best bet is a miraculous turn around in fortune and results and Team Jackie go to the likes of Peterborough or some other team that's Chairman has acted already. Or of course I could win the lottery
Plumber this is a grown up topic and that's exactly the sort of non thinking flippant I'd expect you to come away with.

so depressing. my issues with these 3 go beyond the results and I think we have a squad that might well finish 8th - 6th when its all said and done. Enough to keep them around im sure.
I have a feeling the 500k number might be 100k too hight by the way. That said, Teks point about future fees for players is a good one... total cost could be a f ucking rocket. What the f uck were we doing putting that f ucking clause in there.
Dont know about you guys but im hurting bigstyle like.

It's a complete cluster feck of a situation - enough to make you Sleepless in Seattle?
The other thing mate is, unless JM and his 3 amigos start doing something, who in their right mind will employ them in a decent job next?

exactly, if they want to stay in football, the more they lose the less likely they are to walk.

That's the only thing i'm clinging onto tbh Fooky.
The fact that if McNamara has any ambitions to remain in Management after he departs Tannadice he will need to walk before his cv is tarnished beyong repair.
If he walks now he can 'boast' in his resume that he has delivered 3 Top 6 finishes and 2 Cup Final appearances. Not bad on paper (though we all know that doesn't tell the whole strory of course).
If he sticks around and takes us down or even to the point of flirting with relegation then he's done potentially irreperable damage to those ambitions.

Jackie could well end up like jobby McCall and be washed up as a manager and get a pundit job commentating on his beloved hoops.

The fact he was still manager at start of season was disappointing, the fact he was though meant he had to get 6 games to see if he could improve, this also brought us into the international break and the last days of the transfer window, the ideal time for a new manager to come in.
To not do the deed at that point was a major mistake.
I don't know what the figure will be to get rid, but it won't be 500k, full contracts are never paid out when there's clear performance issues. The club can afford to get rid, no doubt about it.

Surely we can go down the gardening leave route with the 3 clowns?

There is absolutely no way the combined salary of our coaching staff is near £250k.
Including the capped bonus, Jackie won't be sniffing £100k
Houston wasn't even earning that and he got the punt because he wanted too much.
Why would we do that then pay his successor more

And here was me thinking there were 4x s in the JM coaching posse, so who are you keeping?
We could go down the gardening leave path, but do you not accept that this involves 4 gardeners on full wages for anything up to what June 2017? I'll ask you again, where's the money to fund the replacement coaching staff coming from?

With bonuses it's certainly well over 100k, thankfully the bonus won't come into reckoning with payoff figures.

Can't we pay off Jackson and goalie coach and bring in a defensive coach to organise defence that's what Liverpool done . Brendan couldn't do a thing about it

Same place clubs find money when managers come and go
Are you forgetting how much money in transfers we have made and I am sure money will still be coming in on an installment basis.
Don't think Jacko or Simple have extended so they should be out of contract next summer not 2017

Lose on Saturday and he simply has to go. The Dunfermline cup game isnt even filing me with confidence
